So the man on the first day of marriage told " Ek Risthe ke liye Purane Risthe nahi bhul saktha" and made his new bride sleep in wet clothes has not changed fundamentally.

He was talking a lot about supporting Sandhya in her dream, making her dream his own etc.. and when it came to sharing the happiest moment in her life what he decided to do. Instead of trying to be with her, instead of sharing her happiness he was planning to cancel his trip because of an issue which can be sorted out later also.In 2 days nothing is going to happen to BP for RP to mourn this much.

Sandhya who slept in wet clothes might not have cared much. I mean she was in some other world during those times. But this Sandhya wearing the uniform can she take his absence in the same way. yes she might hide her feelings as she knows he is for family but would it not impact her. Even now his coming is shown as a charity, a charity by Bhabo. Comon does that girl needs more charity so that she feels overwhelmed in gratitude that her husband irrespective of the problems in home came to attend her award ceremony😡. Bhabo made him attend 😡

Sooraj's presence for award ceremony is Sandhya's right and something Sooraj has to give her. He does not need Bhabo's permission for the same.

Oh Kavitha where are you girl. I need you, I need you badly. Because only you can make Sooraj grow up into a man. Only you can cut his apron strings. Please win the elections fast and do something drastic, I mean I dont know what are your plans, but please come and save Sandhya from this rotten place. Her liberation is now in your hands.

ha... I was also disappointed on suraj's decision... If he doesnt attend the passing out parade then Sandy would never forget that ... she would be feeling for that though she might nt show that out...

the nly good that bb has done is forcing him to go...

Shruthi, don't ket your heart trouble you. The only thing that makes us watch dabh above everything else is SurYa relationship. It is on a higher plane. I will copy and paste my pow from the other thread

He was very excited about going. Had bought tickets for the whole family but when his younger siblings are sad, he does not feel it is right to celebrate his own and his wife's achievement. Suraj and Sandhya have always been sacrificial and modest. It is not because he values parivaar more than Sandhya but rather considers Sandhya and himself a single unit which lives for others. He is fortunate in that Sandy is the same way. They are pretty unique, diya aur baati. They live as one.

No Kavita can come in between them or teach them anything. She and bhabho will make life more difficult for them but SurYa will prevail as one again.

I completely blame the CVs here. I am getting this feeling from past few episodes that they have not been able to manage this juggling between the action packed jungle and. Pushkar well.

As Deebz said, Sooraj had those tickets in his hand. But then, the scene jus shifted, we weren't given enough of Sooraj feeling or even thinking about whether to go to ceremony or not.

Before we become harsh on him, we need to understand that Sooraj stands for Sandhya when it matters the most. We have seen him stand against Bhabho on multiple occasions when it mattered. This particular event didn't call for such drastic actions. If not for his support, she wouldn't even be where she is today.

I don't think, Sooraj has ever considered his parivaar above Sandhya. Sandhya is a part of him. It's alwAys, him and his Sandhyaji taking care of the parivaar. I think, this comparison itself is redundant.

@Deebz presence and celebration are 2 different things. His absence in that ceremony always make Sandhya IPS irrelevant to BP. All her struggle to be the IPS officer and perfect bahu, doesnt she need some happiness. Doesnt she deserve it. If he considers her to be a part of him , just be there. Give her the confidence that I am happy seeing you like this.

She only needs his presence, nothing more, not even congratulations. There is a lot of difference between presence and absence. Not going for that award ceremony would have meant her professional achievement is not worthy of his presence compared to the BP problem.

Sorry Deebz cant agree to you. Kavitha is not going to teach them anything. But her presence is going to make Sooraj realize something. The breaking of airbubble just the way it broke when Sandhya cried during first SR and when he saw those divorce papers. Lot of myths broke for him.

His myth that a woman is happy being a wife and mother

His myth that woman also has need for an identity

His myth that he has not just got a bahu for his mother, but a wife for him

His myth that Sandhya was fine suffering all those abuses in 15 day test

It was an eye opener for him and those were the things that made him grow up. Similarly something drastic needs to be there for him to look at Sandhya life once again and understand the pressure cooker she is in

@Naina Sooraj's stand for Sandhya always come out as charity for which she has to do something in return as part of gratitude. Sooraj support as Sandhya's right has not come out yet fully.

Each time he supports her legs are getting more binded to Bhabo's illogical demands

Somehow I strongly feel it would have good to Sandhya if she was allowed to go that day when Bhabo threw her out. She didnt had to live a life of gratitude everytime. My husband supported my dream. So I need to be a slave to his mother.

shruthi, I was only annoyed with suraj yesterday...otherwise he is a sweet over protective husband...my anger is only because why that BP issue is troubling him so more than being happy for wife's achievement...

i agree with deebzji, kavitha is not needed here...in fact I think Surya must teach a lesson to her...

edited: just saw Naina's reply...naina probably you are right...maybe they skipped or deleted showing suraj's proper feeling sequence, instead always jumping to show TA so much😕...but this show is about Diya baati, they better be sensitive about their portrayal...

@niruba you are afraid of K's role right😉. What she gonna do. I am not worried about her role that is why I say I want her

In the final SURYA will teach Kavitha a lesson that is for sure, I am waiting for that episode 😉, but before that she will play something and her lessons will be mostly to Bhabo but SURYA will be affected.

Sequence will be like this K will act- Bhabo in trouble- Sandhya reacts- Finally Sooraj acts. That Sooraj action will be slap to Bhabo and K together

Sooraj is a person who doesnt take drastic decisions even for his own good unless he is forced to 😃

He needs Newton's second law of motion to be applied followed by third law of motion.

Every body continues to be in a present state unless acted upon by an external force- goes the second law

Every action has an equal and opposite reaction goes the third law

Kavitha is the external force that will create an action out of Sooraj 😃. Her role is that. She is not going to run behind Sooraj.
