I am listing a few of them below with the songs they sound similar to:
Ice Cream: sounds a lot like 'Monica, O My Darling'
Catch me If You Can: sounds a lot like the James Bond theme
Hai Apna Dil To Awara: sounds a bit like the old 'Hai Apna Dil To Awara, Najaaney Kiss Pay Aae Ga'
Dard Dilo Ke: sounds like one of the songs from Murder 2/Jannat 2 or some other film. All I remember is that its sung by Arijit Singh, I think. It's the 'Kitne Haseen Aalam Ho Jaatay' line - the low pitch going to high pitch thing and a few other lines/lyrical music that sound familiar and a lot like other (relatively old) songs
Suroor: the flute part is very, and I mean, very similar to this other old song that I can't recall. Even the way some of the lines have been sung, it sounds like a mash-up of a few old songs
I thought Himesh Reshamiya had recorded about 1000 or so songs in the few years he was away from the limelight (as said by him in KWK 2 or 3) - were these the songs that he had composed/recorded? 😕
Is it just me finding/hearing all these similarities or has someone else noticed the same too?
Is the music inspired by other songs or, I don't even know what to say anymore...😕
Don't get me wrong, I do like the songs, or some of them anyway but they just sound very, very, very similar to other songs. I was sort of looking forward to new music by Himesh R but I am sort of disappointed. These days, nearly all the music released by the current composers is the same, nothing new so I was hoping that there would be something different in The Xpose music but...
I am in no way accusing Himesh R or anyone else related to the music composition of The Xpose of plagiarism, just curious if the music has been promoted/released as been 'inspired by so and so'. Someone, anyone, familiar with The Xpose music please do shed some light on the music composition/promotion😊
