Aastha believes in positive reinforcement. She tells Shlok that he behaved so nice with her family and they will surely feel very proud of him. Aastha is so busy singing his praises that she doesn't see where she is stepping and she hurts her leg. Shlok takes the bags from her hands and offers to assist her up the stairs. Awww! When did he become so sweet?! Aastha tells him that she likes it when Shlok cares for her. She then tells him to go upstairs and she will join him soon.
Well, she needs to have to have an important talk with an important person, Aditi, who was watching their exchange! Aditi she tells her that she knows about their sleeping arrangements and she will use it to separate them. Loved Aastha's attitude here. She drags the witch to their room and asks her to shove the sleeping mat in the storeroom, while Shlok was listening. He is already suffering from heartburn due to Kalindi's extra love and now Aastha is giving him heart palpitations by changing the sleeping arrangements. Aastha throws the witch out of the room and closes the door on her face and also pulls the curtains on the windows so that nobody peeps into their room. All this got Shlok curious about where she will sleep now that she got rid of the mat.To his relief or disappointment, he himself doesn't know what he felt, she takes the sofa.
The mice mating season is over and Ms.Mouse kicked Mr.Mouse out of the kitchen. He always had a thing for Ms.Aastha, so he thought he would chew on her hair for solace and in the middle of the night, he pays a visit to her. He is heartbroken to see Ms.Aastha run into the arms of that meanie, Mr.Shlok... again. He doesn't understand why she is so scared of him when he is not the one who is mean to her. He scurries out of the bedroom, dejected, While Mr.Shlok and Ms.Aastha cozy up on the bed and sleep together holding hands.
In the morning, Aditi knocks on their door but when they don't open she barges in. Well, you don't expect manners from a murderer! Aastha should learn to bolt the doors from inside. The witch is shocked to see them sleeping together on the bed. Shlok wakes up and finds Aastha sprawled on him but he acts as if it happens everyday. He silently grabs the tea from the witch and waits for her to leave. Aastha meanwhile is smiles smugly at the witch but pretends to sleep when Shlok looks at her. The witch finally leaves and Shlok shuts the door after her.
He wakes her in his kind of romantic way and asks her what she is doing on his bed. She tells him that she has 50% right to everything that is his, including himself and she doesn't need a reason to come near him. Then she starts smiling to herself and shaking her head, thinking about what she will do when Mr.Akdu says ILU. From here the conversation becomes loaded. He calls her Zombie(reference to Swathi?) and asks what she is thinking? She tells him that the one who should think is not using his brains. He tells her to stop overworking her tiny brain or else it will stop working one day (reference to Swathi again?!). He says that retirement is near. Aastha in her nautanki way says that he knows all about what goes on in her mind. She tells him that her heart is lost and it will find its right place if he says the thing she wants to hear from him. He informs her that she has become too much "badtameez". She nudges him a little more to tell what she wants him to say to which Shlok says that he is not omniscient to know everything that goes on in her crazy mind. She almost blurts out that she is thinking about him saying ILU to her, but stops midway overcome with shyness. Shlok leans further and further over her asking her to say what she had on her mind. Ah! I so like kamina avatar of Shlokie!
Sid comes home after work and finds the home empty. He is worried about her as she doesn't know the place well and he sent her shopping alone. There was a blooper with Jyothi's dress. She wore a different dress when she went shopping yesterday and when she came back from shopping she had a different one on. When she returns, Sid asks her if everything is alright. She is dejected that she couldn't reach Aastha. She tells him that she is tired and sits on the bed. He offers her some water to drink and she breaks down at the show of this little bit of compassion. She leans against his arm and cries. Sid silently offers support .
Next morning, Jyothi has a fall and Sid takes her to the doctor at her request. Doctor reveals to him that Jyothi is pregnant. I liked how Sid reacted to the news. He is so understanding. He doesn't get angry because she hid this truth from him. He feels that there must be a strong reason behind why any mother would choose to hide her pregnancy. When he finally knows her whole story and learns that she is trying to save her girl child, he cheers her up by listing the advantages of having a girl and the one disadvantage that they shed too many tears when compared to boys.
Loved the whole episode. Barring the Aditi bits, it was filled with Aastha, Shlok, Sid and Jyothi.
