This is what I love about this show. Lovely characters and non-cliched relationships. Just when Surraiyas behavior seemed to be becoming uni-dimensional and caricaturish, they bring in a twist which provides not just depth but also a solid motivation. Today's surraiyas hatred n dislike of aaliya got clarified at 2 levels.
- One Mir Khans relation and betrayal
- Secondly at a deeper level a resentment with Usmaan Saab that he seems to be giving the place reserved for Bark at to Aliya.
Overall a beautiful track which not only gives depth to surraiyya, but also hints at the journey aliya will face but with the hope that Suraiya n Aliya will forge a strong bond.
I think what will happen is that Aliya will find Barkat, bring her back. And barkat will be everyone's weakness so her issues and eventual clashes with aliya will cause a strain with Zain n Usman Saab coz she will be the only person who will have the power to do so. This before aliya eventually wins her over!
