They danced last night so suddenly,

A challenge -her tears he could not see

So ran to her rescue so very gallantly

He claimed her hand she was his beauty!

His hands on her stomach so sexy

And then they danced so sensuously

Now we associate with them 'Teri Meri'

Twirls & dips, hearts beating in symmetry

The rhythm perfect their touch electricity

They swayed together so beautifully

Speaking through their eyes silently

Her in his arms he forgot his victory

Everyone stunned seeing their unity

Unaware of people watching,surprisingly

It was like they were alone in privacy

Their eyes and the lyrics telling their story

Less of a competition it felt more like reality

The song over they didn't notice obviously

So lost in each other were he and she

Suddenly they realised a bit awkwardly

Away from him she ran embarrassedly

Talking to herself was a confused Khushi

Trying to figure out what happened nervously

That is when Arnavji made his smooth entry

Claiming he needed to be thanked rightfully

On a face was an expression rather cheeky

Walking towards her while steps back took she

He would not eat her, he said reassuringly

Was her fear of his actions necessary

Leaving her to change & return in a hurry

Next day to his house she went for the mehendi

Sensations strange, confused she wanted clarity

She vowed to remain aloof, to maintain her sanity ..

Her eyes searched for him and caused her anxiety

While on her palm she was branded unconsciously

Her indifference to him caused her regret eventually ...

In her head she apologised repeatedly with worry

His phone she tried when him she sensed suddenly

Relief & anxiety caused her to lash out on him bitterly

While for him her concern he witnessed amusingly

He smirked and walked his walk proudly

On her palm he noticed his initial prominently

She tired to make excuses rather confidently

But it was a scene that left us with memories

His smirk and her justification, hilariously

But she was no less teasing him knowingly

Of course he was consumed with jealousy

NK he wanted to get rid of permanently

To fetch the kangans she was sent luckily

Into the water when they fell thankfully

Arnav once again appeared to help sweetly

Teasing her and challenging her mercilessly

And the magical poolside witnessed history

When on her cheek he marked her gingerly

We felt the dhak dhak by that kiss loudly

Rabba vey ! Rabba vey! Rabba vey!

What more can I say...we miss you IPK!

Vandana this is so perfect. Those golden days- the month of January !!! *sigh*
I wish I could rewind the time. With your every word IPK scene was playing in front of my eyes. Their dance, their eye-locks, him coming to her and her dhak-dhak.
The mehndi day when Khushi pretended to not care for him and yet gave him all the proof which stated completely opposite to her words. That Khushi.. Kumaaarii. Guptaaa .aaa..
The poolside conversation And then the kiss with that puchak sound.. That sound still plays in my mind. I can never forget these moments and IPK.
You always take me to IPK world with your poems and I hope that you start posting them in IPK forum.

AKA,

I am cursing myself that I did not read this then...such an apt tribute...

This was just mind blowing the way you wrote it, the style and the concept.

I loved the fact that they have this conversation I have always wanted that, for them to at this phase of their relationship talk about the past and how and why they did what they did, the true meaning of their actions, the truth and and their point of view. The way they break down each incident...and the best part was that through it all they always knew that they were made for each other...hamesha !

The symbolism and significance of those actions bringing out such strong emotions from both of them towards each other...if he was hurt her then he got hurt twice as much each and every time ...and the hurt he felt while watching her still gives me chills...I loved the Nok jhoks and the so many emotions...happiness, heartbreak, tears, pain and suffering but through this all they were together ...

His regret and repentance was so heartfelt and honest her true to her nature she was looking at only the positives...it took someone like her to understand him and that he is just a product of his past and circumstances.. His reaction to her was just his way of expressing his frustration of not being able to control his feelings for her...emotions that he did not want to feel especially for someone like her who was a contrast. His inability to understand why she was so happy and always smiling and not bitter like him under her circumstance...someone who did not have money, power or status, which according to him were so essential ...her simplicity touched him in a way even he could not fathom...and ASR could control anything ...but not the feelings for this girl...

You are an incredible writer. I love the way you used the dialogues from the show . The way you touched those incidents bringing back some of the most amazing memories of two fictional characters who are so much part of our reality...
