Chapter 15
Zoya blinked her eyes a couple of time to adjust with the light surrounding her. The burden of lids on her eyes where now too much to bear still she did not gave up on the pain, groaning a bit she forced herself to capture the pitcher of surrounding.
"zoya, ap theek hai na?" she heard a female voice right beside her feet.
"umh! Hmm..." she was still not feeling easy and her eyes were still had groggy effect in them, perhaps she constantly cleaned her vision by blinking her eyes several time.slowly and gradually, her sight came in and she found her horizontal on a hard material and doctor and nurse surrounding her.
"zoya! You are ok?" she again heard a female voice and turned her head in her direction.
And then it all came to her, the pain, the memory, what she heard, asad's betrayal everything and soon her eyes started to water clearing the left thin sheet of blurredness from them.
She shut her eyes again not wanting to face the cruel reality of her life.
"Miss zoya, how are you feeling now? Is everything ok dear, why are you crying?" doctor asked brushing zoya's forhead affectionately while the small gesture made zoya to cry more.tanveer felt real bad for zoya, in some way she is the main root for ruining her happiness she thought.
"zo-ya" doctor started but stopped in between as tanveer showed her eyes and pleaded through them. Doctor gave a nod and looked at nurse "I think we should let her leave alone for some time" doctor then looked at zoya and brushed her hair again; "Miss zoya, we are here only, call us when you feel better.ok!" she waited for zoya's response but it didn't came, doctor took zoya's sniff as acceptance and she walked away with her nurse.
Tanveer too waited for few more seconds in order to compel herself to talk something to help zoya but she just couldn't make it and then with a sigh she left the room picking up the phone on the night table beside zoya.
Tanveer walked out of the room, dialing asad's number.
"hello."
"hello tanveer kaise hai zoya? How is she?" asad asked in one breathe as if he was waiting with bated breathe to know about zoya's health.
"she, she is fine asad" tanveer said softly rubbing index finger below her eye.
Asad sighed and looked up to sky to thanks allah. He then got up from his bed with band aid feet and shifted the phone from one aided hand to other as the pain pinched him with every move of finger. He shrieked in pain but still walked balancing on one leg to other till he stood at the balcony.
"thanks so much tanveer, thankyou" he said with a smile and a relief sigh.
"asad please stop this game with zoya, she deserves to know everything."
"no she doesn't , she deserves to be happy to move on. Get it?"
"but she deserves to know our truth asad!" tanveer raised her voice with a tough hand movement.
"and what is the truth tanveer?" tanveer eyes went wide onseeing zoya real close to her. She could tell zoya had heard everything between her and asad just with the look on her face.
"zo-zoya" tanveer called in horror, where on other side asad eyes turned red in fear, he quickly gasped while nodding his head in no, "tanveer No, don't" he pleaded as he was sure tanveer will spill out everything to zoya.
"tanveer , I am waiting!" zoya crossed her arms across her without breaking the eye contact.
Tanveer fidgeted with her finger and then looked at the phone, praying softly to the lord for help.
"zo..zoya asad or main...asad..or main" tanveer stammered with words as she the lumps in her throat refused to leave and at the same time asad knew she is about to spill everything and so he desperately tried to talk to her "tanveer nai...No tanveer NO!"
Tanveer raised her phone putting it back over ears when zoya pulled the cell from her grip and disconnected the call "Truth, tanveer. Only truth"

Here, "No tanveer don't" asad screamed on phone while he desperately tried to hear anything from other end.
"shit" he yelled learning the phone is disconnected already.
He again hit the keypad raising it back over ears, the ring went on and on until it got disconnected on it own.
"No" he yelled throwing the phone on floor giving a dent on its screen.
He dragged his leg one by other as he tried to walk towards the door with whatever enegy left in him. the wound was fresh and so it started pouring blood out of each cut. Ignoring the pain and the uncomfort he dragged himself forcing to walk despite of bleeding so much.

"YA ALLAH ASAD!" dilshad turned in horror and ran towards him to support him before he falls.
Asad showed a hand in air as she hugged her sideways to stop him and also to support him from falling.

"ammi kya hua?" asked nazma rushing on stairs with ayaan and nikhat behind her.
"please , let me go" asad said as dilshad holds him refraining him to step further.
"nai asad you are bleeding please, sit. Your wounds are fresh don't , you should rest.i cant let you go like this" dilshad called out ayaan and others to help her while asad was stubborn to go to hospital. she will not understand this.' He muttered under his breath thinking about zoya.

"bhaijaan No!" ayaan screamed in horror onseeing asad's bare footprints all over the living area from his room to the centre where he is standing now.
"ya allah ye larka apni jaan de dega." Dilshad screamed in pain as she couldn't see him in this state more. "bhaijaan please rukiye, ammi apse keh rahi hai. Ammi ke liye ruk jaiye , humare liye rukh jaiye" nikhat desperately tried to hold asad but he shrugged everyone hand,it scared everyone more as asad had never did anything against his mother's word and here dilshad is keeping on begging but it looks like he is not getting affected of any pleads.
Asad pushed everyone aside with a strong push and took few more steps in the direction of door.

In the hospital, tanveer narated everything to zoya, starts from gaffur's deal to rashid's acceptance to asad's plan. Everything she said from the point of time it all started to zoya. Zoya sat down on near by bench as tears resurfaced in her eye. she felt like hundred of daggers hitting inside her guts. There were many questions arised at this time and she wanted to say many things to asad, and if possible slap him too to make such stupid decision without letting her know.

"socho mat zoya! Do what your heart says!" zoya turned to her side and found anwar sitting next to her, tanveer to stopped on her sniffs and looked at anwar, both were so engrossed in the story that no one realised when anwar arrived there.
"ji...ju" zoya hitched on her breath ddue to hiccups as she cried a little more seeing someone so close to her. Anwar in returned touched her forehead and brushing her hair lightly he gave a wry smile to her, "jao zoya, main sab sambhal lunga" anwar said with a nod, and immediately zoya's face brightened up with light she got up from her place brushing the tears from her eyes she started running with her heart in her hand, forgetting about the complete world she ran to meet him, to live again, for the only hope she had now and she will ever have in her life; she ran for everything.

"Asad!!!" rashid called him finally, giving hopes to everyone that now this insanity of asad will stop and it did too. Asad was now looking at his father who was walking in his direction slowly and cautiously. The pain of his son was now clearly reflected in his eyes.
"asad..." he called his name soflty with pleading eyes.
Asad turned his head towards his father while his ground shook because of the pain and slippery blooded tiles beneathe him.
"galti asad ki nai zoya ki hai gaffur, humari bachi ki kismat me he khot hai to koi kya kar sakta hai, zoya or asad ka sath yahi tak tha, per tum fikar mat kro zoya ke liye acha ghar main dhundunga. Janta hu, zoya ki badnami or asmit ki kho jane ki baat faili hogi har taraf. Thoda mushkil hai per hum dhundlenge..."
asad flinched at rashid's voice and looked at rashid with anger then it got quickly replaced with a smile.
He simply turned behind and started walking at door; "bhaijaan mat jaiye bhaijaan..rukh jaiye apko allah ka vasta."nazma called him a loud begging for the last time as he picked up his foot to cross the boundary of the house.

asad looked back at nazma who is now crying hysterically and then his eyes laid on dilshad who is now litterally begging to not go. He waited for sometime as his heart now danced around the images of him in this home with his family; The first hug by Rashid in proud when the first time he got home a trophy; his mother pampering when ever he got ill, the nights when ayaan and he had discussed their secrets; the trust and hope which he always sees in his sisters eyes; nikhat and her dreams which she shared him; nuzzhat and her teen issue where he always helped her; the boxing practice of him with rashid; the love and affection of his family on him.
Jeene ka ho shauk to marne ko ho ja tyaar.

With this he opened his eye letting the tears fell down his chin freely. He wiped at the promise he made to rashid and then looking at everyone he smiled on the promise he made to himself for her.
In the hospital, as she reached to the last stairs she saw gaffur zeenat and humaira standing there on the exit waiting for them to return. She stoped in her track not moving or doing anything, the minutes of silence finally led her into conclusion and she decided to declare her decision.

She walked at her abu and with out any words , she let herself cry in his arm. By the mean time anwar too came down and as gaffur's confused eyes laid on anwar, he smiled with a nod. Zoya broke the hug looking at everyone, giving herself some time to capture every one faces in mind as she looked back at gaffur who still looked at her in worry.

"Abu, mujhe ghar jana hai. Main ghar ja rahi hu, mere ghar; mera sahi ghar." She said as few more tears fell down her cheeks while gaffur forrowed his brow in confusion for a second but when he found the meaning behind her words; he smiled at her brushing her hair in love. Zoya gave a quick hug and waited for gaffur to say something, all he did was to nod and looked at straight on road with a smile.

That was it, what was needed zoya to brighten up and she quickly looked back at everyone and found all of them smiling at her; humaira wiped her tears as she smiled and showed thumbs up in air. Zoya started slowly running on road while her head were still over shoulder looking at his family bidding her bye. Finally, she turned to look ahead and closing her eyes once she started running for life.
She took a moment in between her running to look at the sky, as the tears were still beaming with proudness in her eye.

Asad looked at the wrist were rashid have holded him , he pushed the hand off him while turning his head to nazma in a smile
"mera khuda rutha hai mujhse nazma, main uski khatir he use lane ja raha hu" he said remembering zoya in front of his eye.
"tum kahi nai jaoge asad, badi mushkil se sab theek ho raha hai" rashid scolded asad making everyone confused in family. what is he talking?' everyone thought.
"main apne wade nai todta abu." He said shortly while telling him a lot in small sentence. Rashid still tried to hold him while he push his hand so strongly in air that when it met with wall, blood splashed on rashid's face.
Here, zoya is running without bothered about the whole world. "main janti thi, tum mujhse pyar karte ho, tumne dhoka nai diya" shechanted this repeatedly while taking every step on burning street in fire.
She was only a block behind khan's mansion when a car whooshed her side and she found herself laying flat on the middle of the road gathered by crowd soon. She blinked her eyes on the effect of sudden hit, as she tried moving her hand to get up which was too bleading at the same place the same way how asad is bleeding.

asad is about to leave when dilshad and everyone jumped on him to inspect the wound they tried a lot more time to stop him when he yelled making everyone shock ; "ap samajh kyu nai rahe hai, zoya meri zindagi hai"
he said in such a loud tone that the voice echoed by itself reaching every door every wall every memories of the house. The grip that rashid had on asad weakened and soon it got slip from his arm, dilshad too stopped talking. Everyone had their breath on hold when they spotted zoya at the door with sweat and mud and bleeding!

zoya tears soked his face as his eyes laid on his life who was standing at just few feets distance. She was panting and gasping but still she had a smile on her face. A smile that can only someone who love you like crazy can have , someone who love you with all he has can have. Asad eyes too watered more and the same smile brightened up his lips. His nostrils flare with the sea he had holded in his small heart. The steps were heavy but still he took in slowly one by one.

She watched him coming and so taking few steps in his direction she stopped flying his hands wide in air. His eyes did not left her even for a second as she stepped one by one to get close to him. and as they were in one hand distance asad piulled zoya by her shoulder and took her in bone crushing hug.

They forgot where they were standing , they forgot the circumstances between them. They forgot every reason that made him cry. They just hugged each other like wanna merge their body. Their soul into one. He pulled her more and more to him, making sure its not dream and she is with him now and his heart is still alive.

"main janti thi , you cannot be wrong. I knew it you love me. I knew it asad" zoya cried more pulling asad more and more into her warmth feeling his body burning against him, letting the tears mix with his shirt, letting his eyes soak her with rain. She clutched on his shirt tight letting his shirt turn in to color of red as she repeated the line again and again. "I love you asad , I love you"
Asad leaned his head a little so as to see zoya's face. He let the bleeding hand touch her face lovingly as he inhaled in sigh looking into her eyes he nodded in yes while his lips parted on his own "I love you so much zoya, I love you, I love you. I can't live without you. I love you" he kept repeating himself kissing her ears and shoulder as he felt content in her arms and she was too in bliss.
