Post 1st Wednesday, Ragini MMS 2 Turns 2014s 5th Highest Grosser

The Sunny Leone starrer, Ragini MMS 2 had a decent 1st Wednesday at the Domestic Box Office. The film collected approx 3.50 crores on yesterday, dropping slightly since its Monday (4.50 crs) and Tuesday (3.85 crs). This horror film with an erotic twist found many takers and also banked on the successful franchise.

Taking a plunge higher on the Top 10 Box office collections of 2014, Ragini MMS 2 now stands with a total of 35.85 crores. With this, it has surpassed the lifetime business of Hasee Toh Phasee and Shaadi Ke Side Effects. The movie is now the 5th Highest Grosser of 2014 so far!

While the two films have been big banner films with a sizable star quotient, it seems Sunny Leone too has become a money spinning actress in Bollywood with Ragini MMS 2.

So far at a good position at the box office, Ragini MMS will surely rake in more moolah. The first week collections of this thriller can be estimated somewhere above 38 crores.

Ragini MMS 2 remained the top Hindi film despite being in its second week as it beat the collections of the new releases Dishiyaoon, O Teri and Youngistaan. Ragini MMS 2 grossed around 5 crore nett in its second weekend.

This takes the film to around 42 crore nett in ten days. The film could not show the growth in the second weekend that established films mainly due to the cricket match on Sunday which hit collections. Also the genre is front loaded.
