Totally agree, Mannu's eyes speak volumes !

"the soul separating from her body .."

"my gains and losses are yours only"

" I am the reason for your happiness and I am the reason for your sorrow!

These lines really touched me ! You have verbally penned down Ganga's thoughts, but what's much more striking is Mannu's heart-warming feelings, kids may not speak but they have an ocean of unspoken feelings that they express through eyes.

You are an amazing poetic writer.

@ Tellygeek...ocean of unspoken feelings that they express through eyes.----
Yes ...you are right ... just like ...it comes on waves ebbing ..and flowing back smoothly ...but like the under current ...a child is quite capable of understanding his mother's feelings since infancy !
but a mother's grief is like an ocean too...for the naked eye ...it looks calm ...but volcanoes and tempests are there within ...can't cross the bank ...have to swallow the storms and live with the volcanic eruptions...like an ocean !!
That is the paradox in a woman/mother's life !!!

Ganga letting go of the very person for whom she has lived all along n mannu, a little child, facing the ultimate risk of being shorn of his mother's love... u have captured it very well with your words dear...
Guess me felt their pain even more closely... thanks for this...

Neha

Here every mother and every sensitive person is feeling as if it is happening to her ...identifying and connecting with those characters , a great effort from the actress and the child ...by bringing out the best of their talent...!

Seetha,
A mothers pain ,sorrow can be seen, felt thru your poetry. You described it so beautifully,a normal person can feel it.
When some one in the family is going thru a tough health situation ,it can be mother, father, grandma, grandpa and children .Especially dealing with serious health issue, for a mother seeing her son go thru this is very hard.In between all this she has to face taunts from the family,as if it is mothers fault.A mother is always caught in quagmire of household politics .But yet she stands out strong and comes out of it.Here I can understand ganga's feelings .
This is to all the mothers out there
Everyone tells me how strong I am ,but don't see how I cry ,
But they see the smile on my face, but miss to see pain in my eyes,
I would rather see me cry ,then have this false face,
The pain and sorrow is so deep inside,
I don't act this way but my heart is broken,
My strength comes from you,
And the love you have given me,
And it is that strength that would stay with me.

Life as to go on,no matter what!
Love you my dear child!

Lovely Seetha. Yesterday while I was watching Ganga-Mannu scene, I remembered your beautiful words from this post, and the scene had much more impact on me.

Yes...whenever we try to express our sentiments and sensitive feelings on Mother ...it will definitely become a beautiful poem !

The beauty lies in the subject itself !!!

Beauty lies in the subject, very true, but it can be interpreted in different ways. It requires a poetic composition like yours to build an expressive path to unveil its real beauty. I am learning a lot from your posts, thank you Seetha.

When you get the time, please also write your thoughts about Jagya on Mannu and Ganga on similar lines, will be a pleasure to read a father's feelings.

Tulasi...I can understand your pain and the longing for that long lost little bundle of your happiness ... I don't have the audacity to view your grief in small measure!

Life is nothing but a journey between a Maternity Home and a Cemetery! Both the origin and the earthly destination are surprisingly the same and inevitable for everybody! ... but in between there is a life to live, traversing the crisscrossing paths ... some are winding and seemingly unending; and some are very short! ...but there is no escape from the journey! The longer the journey, the more we try to acquire and establish, the relationships, the material comforts etc. to have a comfortable existence!

Whenever I happen to cross the cemetery ---I watch the trees and flower bushes in its compound and always want to ask those flowers ..please tell me ...in whose foreclosed dreams you bathed yourself and got these beautiful colours ?---With whose imaginations and emotions you are developing and expanding your branches and listening to whose life stories narrated by the wild winds are you swaying your strong big stems, how many burials you stood as witness by day and by night, in sun and in rain? ...how many tender bodies buried there ...how many unfulfilled wishes mixed in that dust ...

But...but look at those buds and budding leaves from those dried branches ,and listen to the small birds' sweet ...melodious chirping, sitting on them...giving a new meaning to life ...a new lease of life !

That is sustainability ...have to survive ...that is the zeal ...have to contribute to the betterment of the fellow travelers of this small life journey ...that is the real Bliss! ...a longing for peace ...a real meaning for our lives !!

A sound family structure would definitely help to face shocks and calamities in life. A strong family support acts as a safety valve against collapse of the mental state!

Tulasi...If there is a valley, there must be an adjoining peak too ! We have getup from the lows we are dumped in and start ascending the highs and aim to reach the peak! We have to gather ourselves and sail along with our life's acquisitions, the little gifts God has given us! We have to wait...we have to seek...and have to move forward. I am sure you are more confident and have more will power to sustain, than what you think ...to win over ... and finally would heave a sigh of relief with a victorious smile !...some challenges ought to be there ...some defeats we have to accept ...some win over situations will give us confidence ...for living ...for loving !!
