Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not the only one to be wooed by developers who want to leverage her stardom. Deepika Padukone, perhaps the only young A-lister with her own apartment in SoBo, and who had once been the face of a Dubai real estate firm, is now endorsing a Punebased developer. Real estate business may have been bad all over the country, but Pune seems to have bucked the trend. And not just Deepika, Sonam too has been signed on by another developer to endorse a slew of projects in the city. The two of them beam at motorists from massive billboards all along the Expressway and in Pune and are occasionally joined by Kareena Kapoor, who has been quietly endorsing a developer in Navi Mumbai for over a year now.

Interestingly, none of these actors will ever be seen in any TV commercial endorsing these developers who have reportedly exhausted their budgets on their signing amounts. Kareena for instance, was paid Rs 10-crore to lend her face to the outdoor campaign only. It remains to be seen if any of this exercise translates into numbers these developers are willing to talk about.
