Chapter#32

Nk seemed restless since last night, Khushi had noticed. She wanted to ask him what was wrong but then her out-of-no-where-pointless burst out at Arnav had left her fidgety. What the hell was she thinking? Having her time of the month had made her go all cranky. She needed to run for her life... He'll kill me. Khushi thought as she nibbled on her lips.

And then as she worked inside the kitchen, all lost in her thoughts, she felt some movement behind her and she quickly turned to look at an equally lost Nk, who drank water from the glass.

"Nk, what happened?" -Khushi asked softly as she stepped forward.

"Nothing, I have a headache." -Nk smiled and was about to leave.

"Really Nk, you won't tell me? I thought we were best-friends..." -Khushi looked down pretending to be sad.

"Noo! It's just... okay I'll tell you" -Nk smiled brightly and Khushi giggled. "Let's go to the poolside and I'll tell you."

With that they both left for the poolside.

Anjali on the other hand wanted Arnav and Khushi both to spend sometime with each other and so she had decided with the help of her Nani to play cupid and that they'll send them to their farm house and Arnav can teach her how to ride horses. And that'll help them spend some time.

Anjali smiled as she thought about how Khushi always wanted to ride a horse but hadn't gotten any chance to.

It was just a normal day and both Khushi and Anjali sat in the garden, having some time to bond with each other.

"Khushi jee what are the things that you'd like to do now but haven't got a chance to do in the past?" Anjali asked with a wide smile as they drank tea in the garden.

Khushi chuckled as her eyes sparkled.

"Well... there is so much..." -Khushi sighed dreamily.

"Well... I would love to listen to it all day all." -Anjali said while giggling.

Khushi jolted up in her chair and breathed out.

"I've always wanted to learn horse riding but I'm scared of horses." -Khushi laughed. "And I want to go up the mountains and see fire works. And I've always wanted to see fireflies; I want to own a library, so that I can read all the books and sit in there for ages, I want to see the sun rise in the morning ..."

And the list went on and on. That's when Anjali's clever brain had started forming ideas and smiled sweetly at an oblivious Khushi who kept narrating all the things she'd love to do.

Nk stood in the garden, whispering into the phone to someone.

"Yes, I've told Khushi." - "No" - "No" - "Because I'm scared" - "No!" - "No I love you." - Nk talked into the phone worriedly.

"You don't" -Sheetal argued. "If you had loved me then you'd talk to your parents about it, explaining her circumstances." - Sheetal stated angrily.

"I've told Khushi and she promised me that she'll help me through this." -Nk said happily. "But my parents won't be able to make it here. I mean it's such a short time span..." -Nk's shoulders slouched.

"Nk, I understand. But my parents are going to fix my wedding with someone else. Will you be happy then? I want to marry you only." -Sheetal cried over the phone.

"Oh no no no no! I'm going to talk to Mami now." -Nk said to pacify Sheetal. "She'll sort it out... maybe" -he mumbled.

Khushi had already told Anjali about the whole situation and Anjali being sweeter than Jalebis agreed to it and said that she'd talk to Nani and Nani will tell Mami jee. It's not like they won't agree, Anjali said. And all the while Nk had been in the garden pacing here and there while trying to come up with ways to talk to them.

When Nk finally decided to talk to them, he found all the ladies sitting in the living room, seriously.

He gulped.

He realized Khushi told them. But their expressions scared him.

He decided against going there. He turned but right then suddenly someone stopped him.

"Nandekisore" - Mami called out.

Khushi suppressed a laugh.

Nk gulped again.

"Come here"

He silently walked to the ladies while looking at the floor.

Mami breathed a sigh out.

"How could you?" -Mami gritted her teeth. Nk looked up to explain when suddenly everyone laughed. He looked at them as if they were alien.

"How could you think that we won't agree?" -Mami said as she smiled at him. "What's her name?" -She patted his cheek.

"Sheetal" -Nk laughed bashfully.

Now that Nk's parents had been informed, they had happily agreed and passed their blessings. Nk was super happy. And so was Sheetal. They both had met in America and studied in the same class. And Arnav had known about her from the beginning.

Khushi was happy for her best friend. She was excited to meet Sheetal and all of them had decided to take Shagun tomorrow to her house.

In between all the happiness, Khushi had forgotten about Arnav and the incident in the morning. As time flew by, it was already time for him to return home. And surprisingly, Khushi hadn't even realized.

The family was sitting in the living room, discussing what was to be done and what was to be left for later while having tea.

All of a sudden, Khushi felt uneasy and her heartbeat raced. And just then the front door opened and realization struck Khushi.

Oh no... He's back? Now? So early?!

Khushi looked at the time and gasped. It was seven.

She gulped. I'm dead.

But as he lazily walked up to the sofas, Khushi noticed that there was no such expression on his face that stated that he was angry.

He glanced at her and Khushi looked away hurriedly.

"Khushi won't you make me coffee?" -He huskily asked and sat down on the sofa with a thump.

Khushi's eyes widened. She quickly looked at him and he smiled at her softly. And her eyes widened even more. Her heartbeat was running a marathon.

She quickly got up and left for the kitchen, without saying anything.

Anjali smiled at the two. They're so cute. She thought smiling.

By the time Khushi came back everyone had suddenly started talking about horses.

Khushi frowned. Why are they talking about horses? Shouldn't they be preparing for the coming functions?

She handed the cup to Arnav and he purposely brushed his hand with her. He looked at her as her eyes widened and pretty pink blush crept to her cheeks. She looked away and sat near Anjali.

"Khushi jee told me that she had always wanted to ride a horse, but she's scared to." - Anjali pouted.

"Yes, Khushi loves horses." -Payal added smiling.

"Oh my god! I have an idea!" -Anjali clapped in excitement.

Arnav rolled his eyes. I wonder what that is. His sister was crazy. Not that the whole family was sane enough!

"Why don't Arnav, Khushi, Akash, Payal, Nk and Sheetal go to the farm house on Saturday...which is day after tomorrow? You all couples can have some time together. Kyun Nani?" -She smiled devilishly.

"That's a brilliant idea." -Nani said totally agreeing with Anjali.

Arnav's brain clicked. Yes, I can have some time with Khushi.

And before anyone could protest, they were blackmailed.

Idk what's up with IF. It gets really annoying at times! I couldn't update yesterday, god knows why. And today, I couldn't copy my own story. -.- Sucks. Anyway! Hello there! Dolls! :') Just finished with my mocks! But I'm not freee. :( I have my Cambridge exams in a month. :O 🤢
Dolls, just so you know the horse riding scenes will get a little delayed. There's something more in between! ^_^ Just wait for it. I know you'll love it.

Hi i am really sorry. I told you i will read your updates soon and comment but it took me more than two months. Sorry i was having health issues and now studies. I have my exams tomorrow but still want to comment. I read chapter 30. Yar, i missed his confession. I was waiting for it. You, i was laughing when i came to know that both of them found happiness with bed and driving respectively. But still they are happy. I am jumping After arnav said that la is fired.

Happy belated birthday . I am sorry I couldn't wish you before. Chapter 31 its feels good to know that la is out and everything is going well. But I am scared that she might be waiting to do something big. Hope it does not happen. Why did khushi spoke with arnav like that? But that was funny.😛 waiting for arnav style of punishing khushi.

Chapter 32 oh god arnav Is planning big I think that's why his behaviour was normal. Am waiting for the horse Scene. Pls give it in next update. Don.t delay it.
