Love In The Air
"Excuse me"
Some girl (her look) said, I looked up from my seat to only find a beautiful girl with innocent eyes and a dress up to kill all guy looking at me. Shit man! How can a girl be so beautiful and have all qualities in one..?? Damn is it really possible or m I saying a freaking dream in the day light..?? I should pinch myself. Ouch it's not a dream man she is reality. I just keep on staring towards her until she clicked her hand on my face and spoke.
"Excuse me...?" She looked at me in confusion.
"Oh! Sorry, yes...?" I apologies for staring at her shamelessly.
"It's fine. Will u please move a side, the seat beside u is mine" she smiled at me and said.
Shit that smile. Someone please hold me m going to fall. Dude Rey hold yourself u can't fall in a first look for any random girl. She is not a random girl my heart cried. Wait a second what the hell is wrong with me err
"Shut up" I shouted gaining much attention of the passengers.
"What...?" she asked me with a raised eye brow.
"Sorry it was not for u" I said a moved aside giving her some place to move in.
There is really something wrong with me. I sigh and settle down on my seat. She too settles down on her seat which was next to me. I looked at her and smiled and to my luck she smiled back. The smile which we call as a warm smile. And there I knew I have got a great company for this airplane journey to India.
Soon we heard airhostess telling us to tie our seat bleats coz flight was gone take off soon. We both tied in the processed are hand touched each other. We looked towards each other in our eyes.
"Sorry" we both said in same time and smiled.
She should stop smiling for heave sake. That smile of her have all potential to drive me crazy for sure. Lord, please help me I hope I don't end up doing something wrong at the end of journey.
She turned on the small TV and put on the head phones. She was watching step up 3. Umm so she is too dancing lover like me. Cool this is something similar in us I guess. Is she a dancer too like me..?? Should I ask her..?? What she will think about me..?? Waoh dude put a break. From when did Reyaansh Singhnia start to think this much before talk to a girl..?? Rey just go and ask. Come on dude are u nervous..?? Hell yes I m.
I looked at her. She was totally engrossed in the movie. I called her out softly; well I have lost my brains. Seriously I thought she is going to hear it out despite having that head phones on her ears. Rey stop acting like psycho. I slightly tapped her shoulder. She looked at me with question look and removed her head phones.
"What...?" she ask me softly
"Umm Nothing actually I was getting bored so I thought..." I said to her making her understand what I wanted to say.
"Oh! Sorry" she said with a cute face.
Man! Please someone tell her to stop making that cute faces it drives me crazy. I looked at her a flash back a smile and said
"No! No need to be sorry" she smiled I continued to talk "so u love dancing..?? Or..." I spoke but she cut me in between.
"No! I love dancing; in fact it's my passion and my life." She said with excitement.
"Oh cool. So are u a dancer...?" I asked looking at her.
"Yes m dancer. Offo we forgot to introduce our self nah hie m Kriya Ghai" she spoke and held a hand out towards me.
"Heya Kriya m Reyaansh Singhnia well u can call me Rey. By the way nice name" I said introducing myself.
"Umm flirting with me...?" she said with a teasing smile.
Waoh man! What a girl is she..?? Looking at her I thought she is a shy type's girl and over here she is almost teasing me..?? Lord help me. But still her name is nice nah..??
"No seriously your name is nice, I loved it." I spoke explaining her.
"Okay, stop freaking I was just kidding" she said with a chuckle.
God her laugh is so heavenly. M going to die for sure. Wait, wait why m I acting like a Romeo or deewana of Bollywood movies. I have lost it completely for sure. This girl errs..!!!
"So Rey what do u do...?" she asked looking towards me.
"Well m also a dancer I run small classes of dance over New York." I said telling her about myself.
"Wow! U too are dancer. Phir toh humari Jodi mast banegi" she spoke holding out her hand for a hi-fi.
I hi-fi her. Well she was indeed right our Jodi was perfect. We talked about ourselves. She told me how much she loves dancing and many things. And to my utter surprise our dancing style was also same. I and she loved contemporary and hip-hop. Well I never thought that she liked hip-hop. But this girl damn she is a mystery for sure. She also told me that she is attending some her friend's marriage. We keep on talking and talking throughout our journey. And soon we heard again the airhostess telling all to tie their belts.
"What we reached so soon...?" she exclaims will tying the belt.
"Yeah! But I think we were too much lost in talks" I said funnily, she laughed back at me.
Well she is a great friend seriously. Friend..?? No! No Rey stop right here. She is only a friend. Well I gave her nick name to its baatcutter. I know it's damn funny but it suits her. Soon we our flight landed we came out and took our bags and put our trolley respectively.
"So Kriya nice to meet u I had a great time with u" I said shaking hand with her for last time.
"Same here Rey" she said with smile and continued "hope we meet soon" she said
"I hope too" I said and was going to move away when I heard her exclaim.
"Shit!"
I turned to see at her and found her cursing the poor mobile phone. I went towards her.
"Kriya, what are u exactly doing..?? People will think u are mad" I said with chuckle.
"Rey it's not funny at all" she said with an angry pout.
"Okay fine Miss Baatcutter; tell me what's wrong...?" I asked this time seriously.
"Well Rey actually my cab is still not come and my mobiles battery is finished. How will I call me friend to ask her about the cab...?" she said with a sad face.
God she looks to adorable. Rey stop it and focus. I smiled back at her and said
"Oh god! Kriya itnisi problem hai, well u can use my phone"
"Rey your phone...?" she said hesitantly.
"Kriya a friend in need is a friend indeed. So as m your friend, so take this and call your friend m waiting over here." I said giving her my mobile.
She took it and dialed her friend. She is so cute man. I love her. What..?? I what her..?? No, never I just met her few hours before how can I fall for her. Love at first sight my heart cried. Oh shut up love at first sight. Hell nothing exits anything like this. And the foremost thing I know she thinks me only as a friend. My thoughts were break by her voice.
"Hey, thanks yaar." she thanked me.
"No need" I said and gave her a small smile.
"So cab..??" I asked her.
"I need to hire it." She said with smile. We both went and booked the cab and went in our respective direction.
It was a beautiful meet indeed. Shit man I should have taken her number, how dumb of me. But she might have misunderstood me I guess. Well I think it's on destiny now if I met her again..??
God its being a week now that I met her. But still she is all over my mind. Day and night I only thing about her. What's wrong with me? Err Kriya come out of my head. Hell when I was dancing and attending that official meeting over their also I thought about Kriya. Does Kriya too must be thinking about me..?? And to the second thought to this why would she think about me..?? I hope she remembers me. This girl has made me nuts for sure. My thought was broken by a call on my mobile.
"Hey Swayam" I said picking up the call.
"Hey Rey, u coming today right..??" Swayam my best buddy asked me.
"Yes of-course my friend m coming" I answered back.
"Okay so see u at venue I need to go" he said and cut the call.
Swayam god I don't believe only we grow up so soon. Today is his reception of his marriage with his girl friend with Sharon. Sharon is a nice girl I have met her twice or thrice in New York. Rey get ready u have to go to Swayam reception otherwise u will be not able to see tomorrows morning.
"Rey mere bhai tu aagya...?" Swayam spoke in filmy style
"Shut up Swayam. Wese bhi how I could miss your suicide" I said laughing.
He beat me playfully and then we both had a hug.
"I m sorry Swayam, I couldn't attend your marriage and other function despite being in India" I said with a guilty face.
"No need Rey, I can understand" he said giving me a warm smile.
"By the way where is my bhabi" I asked looking for Sharon.
"Sharon she must be with her friend" Swayam said and looked here and there "oh look there she is" Swayam pointed towards Sharon and a girl whose back was facing me.
We walked towards them. God knows why I was having some un-know feeling. But the best to do is to ignore it. We reached near Sharon.
"OMG! U finally here" Sharon exclaimed and hugged me.
"Yep! M here" I said hugging her back.
We both broke the hug Sharon went towards Swayam and hug him back.
"Hey Rey..." Sharon was going to speak but was cut by me.
"Kriya (her look)...?" I spoke looking at the girl who was with Sharon a few minutes back.
"Rey...?" she turned around and looked at me with wide eyes.
And to my surprise we both hugged each other. Seriously that was our first hug. It felt so good holding her in my arms.
"Rey what a surprise u here..?? u didn't told me that..?? U told me that u were here for some meetings...?" she broke the hug and started firing questions and I tried to speak but alas.
"Baatcutter will u please let me speak...?" I asked when she was finished asking her question
"Ops sorry" she said cutely.
"Well I too didn't know m coming here" I said with innocent face.
"Means...?" she asked me with confusion.
"I mean..." I was cut by Sharon voice.
"Wait a second u both know each other...?" Sharon asked. And then we both remembered that Sharon and Swayam were also there with us.
Kriya and I explained them how we met and all. Soon Sharon and Swayam went to greet other guest leaving me and Kriya alone.
"So...?" I heard her say
"So what...?" I asked will seating on a nearby chair.
"I mean how your days were in India...?" she asked seating beside me.
Hell should I say truth that my days were restless because for her. Or should I say lie..??
"Umm nice" I said she looked at me and smile.
There was an awkward silent between us. Well did she want to hear something else..?? This silence is killing me. Should I tell her how much I missed her and how much I like her..?? Hell yes I had admitted it that I had started liking her. This is enough for me, m telling her that's it.
"I want to tell u something" we both spoke together.
As soon as we spoke we both looked at each other. We both were drawn into each other's eyes. I can clearly read how much she missed me. I guess I was wrong by saying why would she miss me..?? She was the first one to break the eye look.
"umm say.." she said looking towards me.
"u say nah first as it's said ladies first" I said well matter of fact I was hell nervous right now.
"Okay we can do one thing let's say together" she said with the same warm smile which she gave me first time. I looked at her as if asking are u serious..?? And she just smiled back an assuring smile.
"Okay so at count of three" I said to her she nodded will playing with her dupta.
"1..." I started to count "2..." she continued me... "And 3"
"I like u" we both said together and looked at each other's shocked face. I was the first one to speak I took her hand in mine and said
"Look Kriya I don't know it's love or not, but one things which I know is I like u very much. After that day I just kept on things that what must be u doing and all. Hell will dancing also I was thinking about u. Kriya I don't want to tag this feeling as love so soon. I mean we just know each other from few days and tagging it as love I don't thing is nice option I don't want afterwards to tag are relation as a regret and m sorry if I hurt u. So will u be my girl friend...?" I closed my eyes at the end of my proposal. I opened my eyes and looked at her she smiled.
"Rey no need to be sorry this is what I was exactly going to say and my answer is yes" she said and blushed a little.
As soon as she said yes I got up and hugged her tightly and she too hugged me tightly.
I don't know how long are relation is going to be. I don't will this liking ever will change to loving. But I in fact we both know one thing are relation will never be a regret.
