Thank You aadk.
I agree. If I had my druthers, I would have prefered Raman to tell Adi that he was not going to make Ishita do that. But since he didn't do that, It would have been good to see Ishita just walk away from it in silence.
Having reflected on it. Her reasoning for making Ruhi the reasoning for the apology was faulty. This didn't create any less tamasha nor a lesser hurt for Ruhi. She assumed Ruhi couldn't handle it, which Ruhi proved otherwise. Ruhi is wise, astute and capable. EkPaheli posted an amazing post on this today.
Perhaps the purpose of the track, from the writers perspective was for Raman to realise what he had done was wrong and for Ishita is not ok being in a marraige just Ruhi ke liye as it compromises on her self-respect sometimes

By making her cry and her confession to Bala is what brings out the fact that Ishita too is a human. Else we should be counting her among the angels. I just don't understand how Raman is blind to all of this because I am sure Shagun never behaved like Ishita for him to ignore all this as normal. What's more, someone else is thanking him for bringing a smile on to his daughter's face?

Yes Metamorphmagus I like that they showed that she is human. her confession to Bala was very touching. And yes ruhi ke liye can get tiring at times.
