I agree. If I had my druthers, I would have prefered Raman to tell Adi that he was not going to make Ishita do that. But since he didn't do that, It would have been good to see Ishita just walk away from it in silence.
Having reflected on it. Her reasoning for making Ruhi the reasoning for the apology was faulty. This didn't create any less tamasha nor a lesser hurt for Ruhi. She assumed Ruhi couldn't handle it, which Ruhi proved otherwise. Ruhi is wise, astute and capable. EkPaheli posted an amazing post on this today.
Perhaps the purpose of the track, from the writers perspective was for Raman to realise what he had done was wrong and for Ishita is not ok being in a marraige just Ruhi ke liye as it compromises on her self-respect sometimes
