I would have added this in the other thread, but here is to contributing to more Forum posts and activities.

Earlier few weeks back when me and friend discussed why Suraiya hates Bhopal so much, we speculated there is some past related to Suraiya and Bhopal in some manner. But later we dint take it way too seriously because this is after all an Indian show.

But today, both Fahad and Zain's mention about Suraiya hating everyting related to Bhopal. Whatever made her hate that place so much? Does she really hate Shabana and family because they are in Bhopal? Or does she hate Bhopal because Shabana is there and her husband's heart is there?

Masla kya hai? It's entirely possible though that there is no past in Bhopal, but things are a little strange and questionable.

Probably because they are not as well off as her.. May be she thinks they are poor , she rich and once Usman goes their he acts just like shabhana/ghulam so she doesnt like him mixing with them..

Looking at her character, it must be all about how they are not well off so not of her standard types .

usman loves Shabhana , may be that doesnt sit well with her as well. I dont think their is any flashback to it though.

From the first episode I have been thinking of the same. Why does Suraiya hate Bhopal so much?

I feel CVs are going to use this track somehow when trying to bond Suraiya and Aliya.

What i feel is Bhopal reminds Suraiyya of Usman's humble beginnings(thats my assumption that he is a self made man)

To fit into teh elite society of mumbai high class...she wants to seem like she has always been rich...which mayeb she has...n married usman after he became a rich tycoon.

and doesnt like being reminded of his middle class past.

Just my thoughts :)))

Shabana n bhopal are a reminder of his past which she wants to erase.

Like Zain said Suraiya hates Bhopal and the people of Bhopal. I hope there is a solid reason for her hate and somewhere I hope it is not about poor/cheap Bhopali people v rich/classy Mumbai people. This kind of thinking makes Suraiya a shallow character. I hope something disappointing happend in the past that makes her dislike anyhting that has to with Bhopal. Maybe she wasn't Usman saab first choice for a life partner. Her shauher did ask Zain to look for a lady in Bhopal when he visited Bhopal. Maybe that was the lady Usman wanted to marry but for some reason he ended up marrying Suraiya 😕 In future episodes I hope to see Suraiya's background like we saw Usman's through Zain's eyes.

I m damn sure there is some bitter past of Suraiya related to Bhopal...I guess that track is smthng to watch out for...It has to be major one..

I think there is some past in Bhopal related to Suraiya, I think CVs are having this for some far future track with lots of twists and turns. There is some bad memory of Suraiya in Bhopal for sure as she hates Bhopal and people over there from the beginning of BI.

I think we are about to know about her hatred for Bhopal soon and Aaliya will help her get closure, coz she has to abate Suraiya's hatred for herself and Bhopal..

Hatred stemming from relationship backlash? I would consider it but it's Suraiyya. The woman doesn't have enough depth to harbor such feelings.

Maybe she just needs Prozac. If Prozac doesn't improve her mental health, maybe she can OD on it and improve mine. Please.

If this happens then Beintehaa would become the first show to actually have a valid reason for a character turning negative/bitter 😆
