Its time for some Celebration

HAPPY UGADHI AND GUDI PADWA

To all our freinds here on India -Forums..

Yugadhi/ugadhi is the new years day of the peaopleof deccan region of india.The saka calendar begins with the month of chaitra (March-april) and ugadhi marks theorst day ofthe new year..Chaitra is the first day panchanga which is the india calendar..

While the people of karnataka,telangana and andhra pradesh use the term yugadhi/ugadhi for this festival, the people of maharashtra term the same festival , observed on the same day..Gudhi padwa...
