I was thinking the same thing...he knows his mother way too well...and that is a great thing.

I was remembering a previous episode where Suraiyya was saying how she knows her son so well! Well churail, your beta knows you even better! Like what is wrong with this women, why is she so hell bent on ruining Zains life. She's so blinded by her hatred of Bhopali Aaliya that she refuses to see that maybe, just maybe Aaliya is exactly what her son needs in his life! And as for Zain, he knows his mothers antics so I'm surprised he didn't put 2 and 2 together in figuring out that it was his own mother who planted these 'back to Bhopal express' ideas in Aaliyas brain.
