Before taking up my new Sony show Jeete Hai Jiske Liiye, I was stuck with watching television 24x7.

I was hooked to American TV shows like Desperate Housewives, Friends, Lost and Grey's Anatomy.

All these shows have really touched me. It is so ironic that we urban Indians watch shows like these and easily relate to them, but can't say the same about Indian TV shows.

Poor quality

It is really sad that Indian television has such a poor quality of entertainment. It hit me all of a sudden while talking to my friends when they too admitted that they could only relate to American shows and not Indian ones.

It's really weird how these shows cater to the entire world. Grey's Anatomy has moved me immensely, while Friends is so jovial.

All I would like to say is that it's sad that Indian television is incapable of connecting with its target audience.
