'Respected' CVs,
We Swaron fans watch D3 everyday expecting something good to happen. But as usual, our expectations are never catered to. Ever since 25th november 2014, we have been experiencing a series of disappointments, starting from low screen space for swaron, to their poor characterisation. You guys had faced enough critisizm for the characterisation of Swayam and Sharon in the village track, and the successive tracks. So I wouldn't talk about it. Then you tried to rectify the swaron story by bringing in a third person called Ruhi. This is what I'll be talking about.
Honestly, I didnot mind the idea of having a third person, as I saw a lot of potential. But then again, even the village track had a lot of potential, but the onscreen res**ts turned out to be otherwise. Nevertheless, I had prepared myself to watch the track with an 'open mind' , as our 'honourable' Ameeta ma'am had asked us to do.
Now, at this stage of the track, I am no longer in a state to watch it with an open mind. Why?
Well, beacuse I am utterly disgusted. And so are all other fans. This character, Ruhi, could have been used in a much better way. Instead, she is shown as an utterly clingy (found no other word), despo and characterless vamp. I guess that is how vamps are supposed to be, right? And bad acting is like a cherry on the cake. Yes, she disgusts me. Previously, we also had Aashi who was mad for Swayam...but no one had a problem with her. Vamps are supposed to be hated by the viewers. But Ruhi? Well, she is not hated because of the person she plays. She is hated because of the way she is jumping from one personality to another. She was initially a meek, small town girl. From that, she suddenly changes into a madly obsessed girl. After the accident, she turnes into a vamp (which was appreciated initially). And now she is so full of guts that she challenges sharon rai prakash, the diva?!?! For a 'meek small towngirl', a little insane, rather absurd, dont u think? And for a person to change so much, it actually takes a lot of time, and is not a matter of just a few days. In other words, this makes no sense. Infact, what annoyed me the most was when she did things on the pertext of being a small town girl. On one hand, she tells Swayam on rose day that she has never been very close to a guy, and on the other hand, she spends the night at his house?! A little ironc for a small town girl. Yes, she is an insult to small town girls.
Ever tried doing some homework on Swayam's character? Your work doesn't say so. Initially, from 25th nov, his character was the epitome of hopelessness. It had been comparitively better after the accident. Swayam was always a caring friend, but was never so stupid and gullible. Every time I see Swayam-Ruhi scenes, all I can do is facepalm over and over again, and update a status on FB, or write on the official D3 page. But whats the use? Nothing really happens. D3 is no longer as intriguing as it used to be. Its been four months since Palki ma'am was forced to leave the show, and the difference is clearly noticeable. The characters have lost their charm, the story is going haywire, and very little of dance is actually being shown. And most importantly, our beloved Swaron is getting ruined - all thanks to your amazing creativity.👏
As a viewer, I have all rights to critisize your work, and I hope you take it in a positive spitrit, with an 'open mind'. Infact, if it continues like this, you should try and get used to critisizm. There are thousands of swaron fans who feel the same. Hopefully, our expectatios will be met. And if they are not, well you simply cannot imagine what we can do. We are not just namesake Swaron fans. We are fans for a reason.
I hope I wasn't too rude.
Sincerely,
A fellow Swaron fan.
PS: I hope you got the sarcasm.😉
