Chapter 13: Sri Radhika-Kalyana-Mahotsava

Radha and Krsna spent much time inside Radha's room. Just then, Kirtida anxiously rapped the door. The divine couple suddenly remembered what had transpired and in a trice, Radha lay down on the bed and Krsna became Vidyavali. Opening the door, he smiled at Kirtida.
"Your daughter is now free of the poison. She is lucky; not many can survive such intense pain!" He winked at Radha. Radha smiled faintly. Kirtida was relieved. "What can I give you in return for this great service?" she exclaimed. Krsna- Vidyavali shook her head. "I require no fees, O Kirtida. Just don't allow Radha to get stressed. Keep her happy and calm and she will get much better in no time!"
Saying so, Vidyavali did pranam to Kirtida and left.
Kirtida rushed and embraced Radha.
*** "Marry Abhimanyu?"
"Yes Radhe, next week is supposed to be the fixed date, isn't it?" Krsna said.
Radha had told Kirtida she was going on a stroll, and had come to her Nikunja as fast as possible.
"But Ma said, if I am not ready, she will request Abhimanyu's family to postpone it!"
"No. I wish you to stay with Abhimanyu now. Tell your mother that you are ready for marriage. Be assured, I have many plans after your marriage happens!"
Radha looked at Krsna pleadingly. "Why Krsna?"
Krsna pulled Radha to him. "Why are you so worried, my love? Do you not remember our marriage?"
Radha blinked. "Our marriage? What are you talking about?"
"Oh right - I forgot. I had erased everyone's memories, including yours... You sure you don't remember anything?"
Radha shook her head with confusion. What marriage was Madhava talking about and when did this happen?
"Fine, I shall show you what happened, Madhavi! Then you shall understand what I am talking about!" Krsna replied to her thoughts.
Radha sighed. Krsna looked at her confused looks and gave a wide grin. He then held her hand and vanished to his past, fourteen years ago.
***Radha and Krsna appeared in the pastures of Vrindavana. Radha asked Krsna, "Why have we come into our past, Krsna?"
"Just watch, Pranpriye!"
Radha's face flushed. Pranpriye
She looked on. Nandagopa was carrying an infant Krsna in his hands and fondling him, while the cows were grazing in the pastures. "You were such a cute and chubby baby, Krsna!" Radha said.
Just then, the sky darkened with rain-clouds, and the sun was totally hidden. To top it all, the big trees made it even darker. The cows looked at the sky and started wandering away from the pastures! Nandagopa became worried! He had to herd all the cows! But how could he leave his child in this pasture? Yashoda had warned him about something like this! He looked at the skies for a reply.
Just then, in a flash of lightning, Radha (of the past) appeared from the skies. She look benevolently at Nandagopa and said, "Oh Nandagopa! You are indeed blessed to have become the father of the Lord himself! All that you see now is the divine leela of Sri Krsna! Therefore, without delay, hand over Krsna to me, and you can bring back your cows!"
Nandagopa was exhilarated! He bowed to the Goddess and handed over his child to Her, saying, "Oh Radhe! Please escort him home!" [Refer sloka here]
Hearing this request of Nandagopa, a thrilled Devi Radha accepted the infant Lord in her hands and took him to a secluded grove! Radha then prayed to Krsna - "Oh Lord, fulfill your promise to me! Oh Krsna, manifest yourself in your divine form!"
No sooner had she said this, the infant Krsna suddenly transformed into a resplendent youth of sixteen years, with lotus like limbs, a charming face, and a effulgence surpassing the Sun! As the Radha and Krsna of the present watched, Brahmadeva, Shiva, Narayana, and the sakhis of Goloka arrived there, and in their presence Sri Radha gloriously married Sri Krsna, thus uniting their avataras. The gods who witnessed this holy marriage were filled with bliss and bowed down in reverence to the divine couple! Thus Sri Radha-Madhava's divine confidential pastime on the banks of the Yamuna was enacted by the victorious couple.
***"And that is how our marriage took place, my beloved Radhike!"
Tears filled Radha's eyes. "I am blessed to have witnessed our most divine marriage, Krsna! And all this while, I have been thinking that I was separated from you! Why, I was united with you from the beginning of my avatar itself! Oh divine Lord! Oh my beloved Madhava! Krsna!" And Radha fell at Krsna's feet, weeping.
Krsna lifted her into an embrace. "My dear Radhike, do you think I can ever be separated from you? I am always in your heart! And you are always my Queen of Rasa, dancing in my heart day and night! Now unfold your leela to the whole world! Let the world know my Radha's Bhakti and Shakti! Intensify our love by your leelas!"
Radha smiled with joy and invoked Chaya Radha.
A week later, Radha's 'marriage' to Abhimanyu was held with gusto. It pleased the hearts of everyone, right from Kirtida and Vrishabhanu, Jatila and Vrika, Abhimanyu, and most of all... Radhakrsna.
