Few things but I know people out here will not agree.
1. Even in modern days no Muslim family organizes a Holi party just for the sake of unity whether they follow all the aspects of Islam or not...whether they wear hijaab or not...whether they pray 5 times or not.
2. Visiting Dargah is like a custom in India...Its a SHIRK...neither men nor women are allowed to visit such places...we are not allowed to WORSHIP anyone other than Allah SWT.. SALAAH IS THE ONLY MEDIUM TO SEEK FORGIVENESS, ASK FOR HELP, MAKE DUA OR ANY OTHER THING.
3. This may be just a show but still it's representing a Muslim culture and that too in a very wrong and bad way.

I agree on Aaliya wearing revealing dress coz it brought a contradiction to her character itself. She had denied Zain for that night gown saying that she doesn't wear such clothes when she was to wear just in front of her husband but she had choice and she denied then why did she took off shoulder dress was beyond me and was so comfortably carrying around, it was something out of her character. And like Islam even Hinduism of code of conduct and Hindu teachings also says cover yourself but people abide by or not is a different thing so saying even Hindu bahus would feel uncomfy i distasteful. Its better not to comment on things we have less knowledge or no knowledge about :).
Regarding Holi I guess unlike QH, BI never promoted itself as a Muslim social drama giving out all true teachings of Islam, correct me if am wrong coz I hvn't read anywhere. BI basically just shows family with muslim backdrop and not a perfect, conservative family who would abide by all Islamic customs. Abdullahs anyway were never shown abiding by any Islamic teaching so celebration of Holi shouln't be an issue here coz when have they followed Islamic path? And secondly in India you'll see many Hindu families organising Iftaar party for Muslim friends and Muslim families organising Holi parties. Its not right but BI never promised to be a show following Islam and in its real sense. Abdullahs are one family who have modified themselves as per time and location. Abdullahs hold party every year for orphan kids and old age people qho can be of any religion and in an effort to make them feel home they organise the festivals maybe for Hindu people as the lady shown talking to Usman was a Hindu. And if you noticed Usmaan, Surraiyya attended guests, participated in party but there was no colour on them which could be a way of cvs to highlight Muslim beliefs too while kids were enjoying coz thats a new generation and liberal in things. In India you have 3 muslim families in every 10-12 Hindu families and after living together for so long they tend to develop a thing for each other's culture and festivals. I have friends ho are very conservative but celebrate Holi, Diwali with us though their elders would just wish as a part of festival and stay away from celebrations. Bottom line of everything is that BI is just a show with Muslim backdrop but not ho promote Islam and its teachings and not every family abide by every rule of religion just like how Hinduism was never portrayed correctly in any of Hindu based shows, they alter and modify as per themselves coz they see different families working differently and projection of true essence of religion was never promised which wasn't the case with QH. So, its even unfair to compare shows with QH which promoted itself as a show leading out Islamic beliefs.

I'll stop here and ntention of my post is not to have an argument. As said I better stay mum over such tender issues where I possess no knowledge.

I understand you don't want to argue 😆 Don't be so scared of people jumping on you. I won't and this is my thread, I'll make sure nobody gets disrespectful towards each other.

Omg...QH.. I do NOT watch that show, it's been ages 😆 I'm not comparing them b/c I'm in love with QH or anything. And Yes, they will be compared whether people want it or not because they are the ONLY 2 Muslim shows on there so there is competition between them. Neither QH NOR BI said " we will teach you about religion" explicitly . BUT they both did say that they are going to showcase Muslim families and clear peoples misconceptions.

As far as I remember Preetika said that people don't know much about Muslim ways so she thought that it was a good idea to do this show .Prashant Bhatt who is the creative head at Colors said that he wanted to bring Muslim flavor to Colors. Now if they just wanted to show Muslim families like other families of other cultures, why would they start a show on colors based on Muslims ?? Therefore, it is their responsibility to make sure that they don't defy BASIC religious rules and give people wrong impressions otherwise they should not try to do something different and then make BI like other shows . Hindu bahus of colors are covered up, but they decide to do 1 Muslim show and the bahu goes straight from salwar kameez to off shoulder dress. Where is the respect and sensitivity to our religious beliefs ?

Also, I HATE to say this, because it MAY sound rude, but I'm just making a point. The Muslims and Hindus having parties for each other is a minority thing. Even slightly religious Muslims do not host Holi parties. Yes, the kids go play with their hindu friends maybe, but this "hosting" the party every year was so exaggerated. They never showed Sasural Simar Ka and Sanskaar hosting parties for Eid then why this ? 😕 And if the reason is that there was no Muslim show on colors before then that's disguisting because they're doing all this just to make people believe that BI is like any other hindu show so they don't have to avoid it.
