CHAPTER-35.

Shlok silently stood by the door and watched Astha carry out a one sided conversation with her father.

His heart squeezed out in pain at the scene,as a heavy feeling settled in his heart.He wished he could do something to make things normal for her..

"Baba!You see I have become engaged today,but still you did not come down..Are you angry with me..?"

"No beta..I am not angry at you at all.."

"Then why-.."

"Astha baba can never be angry with you,right baba?"Shlok's husky voice stopped her in mid-sentence,as a shocked Astha looked up at him..

Shlok slowly raised Astha to her feet,and looked into her eyes,with a tender warmth shining in his deep dark ones.

"Baba can I take your beautiful daughter for a few minutes..?"He asked softly still looking into her eyes..

Astha inhaled a shaky breath at his words,not able to look away from him..

"Yes beta..Take her..I'm sure you'll cherish my lovely daughter with all the love in he world.."Both turned to Avdhoot who lay still as always..

They both stared at each other again..

A soft blush creeping up Astha's cheek as she absorbed what her Baba had just said,and a frown found its way at Shlok's brows as he could not believe he had just heard a male voice reply..Or was it just his imagination..Or was this telepathy..?

Shlok walked out if the room holding Astha's hand,so did not notice the drop of tear that fell from the corner of a still lying Avdhoot's open eyes..

He was keeping an eye on him and her now too..

Waiting for the perfect chance to finish them both off..

Yes them..

His plan had backfired big time,and Shlok Agnihotri was getting the girl..He had wanted her to hate him and hurt him..

But she had disappointed him big time too.

And now he wanted revenge on her too..Shlok Agnihotri and his fiance both will be punished big time for what they did to him and his plan..

He looked through the binoculars looking for a trace of the duo he had just seen getting out of a room..

Where had they gone..?

Sholud he attack now..?Or wait some more..?

He was getting impatient..He did not like to wait..He cursed loudly as some mosquito bit him as he sat hiding behind the bushes..

Shlok Agnihotri will pay a very high price for making him suffer thus..

Shlok walked wither towards her bedroom,and made her sit on her bed,as he sat at her feet..

"Astha..?You are happy with this aren't you..?If you don't want this you can just tell me..I will not force on you.."

Astha sat numbly,not able to answer his question..

Her father's words echoed in her fuzzy brain continuously,and she tried to get a grip of herself and her confused chaotic emotions.

She looked into his beautiful dark eyes,and something reassuring in them reached out to her..

Suddenly she felt very relaxed,and her world seemed to tilt back to its axis..Her cloud of confusion clearing..

Follow your heart Astha..Mind makes mistakes at times,but this heart of yours rarely does that..It might be cloudy now,but that only means sunshine will be there soon..Follow your hear beta..Her father's once given advice echoed in her mind suddenly,and she clenched her hand into fists,as she inhaled a long steadying breath..

This tall handsome man,who owned so much more than her,was now humbly sitting at her feet,and asking her if she wanted out..When he could force himself on her any time..

But he had not..He had instead-..

"Shlok beta!Let's go.."Anjali's voice made then both break their gaze as Shlok quickly got up on his feet..

Astha was now standing too.

Shlok turned to leave but stopped and hesitated,looking back into her eyes..Asif trying to search for his answer there.

Astha's heart squeezed with a srange new feeling,as she realized he did not want to leave..

And suddenly she did not want him to leave too..

Atleast not yet..

She was just about to ask him to stay some more when Kalindi's voice called out to him again..

And this time Shlok turned and left,while Astha stood feeling lonely all of a sudden..

She rn to her window,and there she could see his back as he got up in his car..

His family members also got up in theirs,and just before he was about to drive off,he turned and looked directly at her window,a soft smile at his lips,as if he could see her..

And Astha felt her heart soar,as she blushed and smiled happily as she leaned back on the wall by the window..Closing her eyes as she let the happiness wash over her..

Shlok had just reached his home and entered his room,when his mobile gave a message alert..

He frowned and was checking the sender,and was startled to see it from Astha..

Confused and scared all at the same time,he opened the message to see its content..

He read the message once,his eyes widened in shock..And then he read it again..And again..
