the curious case of the falling stars

Lol😆 dramatic title but basically I was watching the Filmfare's yesterday and then I was on YT watching hilarious JLaw interviews coz she is effin amazing. Then I saw a clip of her falling on the oscar stage whilst coming to collect her award. I never actually watched it coz I felt so bad for her so I watched it finally. She was so cool about it and hugh jackman came running to help her up( that guy is sooo sweet). Soon after everyone stood up to give her a standing applause and my heart melted. This was followed by her hilarious speech. So something clicked in me. If a young starlet (maybe deepika) falls on the filmfare stage, what would the audience do? If it was a old person like javed akhtar or something it would be a problem but what if some young star gets supremely humiliated on the biggest awards of India? We all know our janta is emotional.

Many people were saying on some boards I visit that this looked suspiciously like an deliberate act to keep up the ditzy, lovable, fun naarative surrounding her. I think she should wear flats or shorter dresses from now on.
