Part 16

"KHUSHI!" Arnav yelled.He ran to her body which was slowly leaking her blood "NO KHUSHI! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME AGAIN!" he yelled "Khushi wake up.We are supposed to be together forever" he picked up her body in his arms and listened to her heartbeat.It was still steady "You can't leave me again.We are meant to be" he repeated.

The ambulance sirens told him help was on the way.The vehicle's doors on the back flew open with paramedics running out towards Arnav and Khushi.One man kneeled next to Khushi and felt her pulse "She's still good" he told the others.He looked at Arnav "Sir,we need to take her to the hospital"

Arnav kept his grip on Khushi and looked at the vehicle "I am coming with you"

"DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME?" he roared.The paramedic nodded scared.Arnav looked at Khushi and took her inside the vehicle.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN'T GO IN WITH HER?" Arnav roared as the doctor shivered.

Arnav looked away as the doctor scurried back in the room where Khushi was.He closed his eyes hoping history would not repeat itself.

After what felt like years,the doctor came out.He smiled at Arnav "Luckily she didn't lose much blood so she doesn't need extra blood-"

The doctor nodded a bit confused "Anyways she should regain consciousness in a few minutes" he left.

Arnav looked at the door that separated him and his Khushi.He entered her room in quick strides and kneeled next to her.He took her hand in his and kissed it.A tear slipped his eye as he stared at her peaceful calm face "I will always love you" he whispered as he tightened his grip on her hand "I don't mind you forgetting me...but as long as you stay by my side and never leave,I will be the happiest person alive"

Arnav didn't know how long he stayed there staring at her.Khushi slowly fluttered open her eyes and let her eyes wander around and take her surroundings in.She looked confused until she saw him.She gave Arnav a small smile "I feel so tired" she whispered.

He smiled and placed his chin on top of her hand "Never leave home Khushi...no matter how rude I am,angry..no matter what I say.Please never leave me"

Her smile widened "So you didn't meant any of it?"

Arnav shook his head "Not a single word.I was just...going crazy and I am sorry for bursting at you.Will you please come back home with me?" She nodded.Arnav pressed the button to her side for the doctor to come and check up on her.

The doctor came in after a few minutes and smiled at Khushi "So how are you feeling now Mrs.Raizada"

Before Khushi could correct him Arnav spoke "She says she's feeling tired.Is that a good thing? Is she supposed to feel like this? If you doctors did anything wrong I will sue this hospi-"

"Mr.Raizada please.She's okay" said the doctor "It's totally normal for her to feel like this,after all she just had an accident"

Arnav looked at Khushi for a few seconds and then looked back at the doctor "Can I take her home?"

The doctor nodded "She's fine.Just provide her with full bed rest for at least one week" Arnav nodded "Would you like a wheel chair?" the doctor offered.

Arnav stared at the doctor for a full minute before answering "I am enough for my wife"

He turned to a shocked Khushi and picked her up gently in his arms.Focusing his eyes only on her,he walked out of the hospital.

"It's okay Arnav..I can walk" said Khushi as she clung on to Arnav as he climbed up the stairs with her in his arms.

Arnav stared at her "You just had an accident Khushi.One of the last things I want you to do is walk" Khushi sighed and leaned her head on his chest as he continued climbing the stairs.She closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.As soon as Arnav reached the bed,he bent down to lay her gently on the bed but she clung to him not letting go.He covered her hand which held on to him with his.Arnav leaned on his back taking Khushi on top of him.He listened to her soft breathing,calming his racing heart that she was still safe and protected.And Alive.The most importantant thing.Khushi was still alive.And with him "I love you so much" he whispered "Please never leave me no matter what.I can't live without you and I don't want history to repeat itself and lose you.Losing you is losing myself" He leaned his head back on the pillow pulling her closer to him "I don't know when or how I lost my heart to you those years ago but I can't spend a moment without you"

He leaned towards her and kissed her forehead "I love you and always will"

Khushi awoke due to the sunshine coming from the windows.She sighed as she felt her pillow.She frowned when she felt something hard and muscular.Slowly opening her eyes,she looked around.She gasped when she met a bare chest.Khushi felt the arms around her tighten and felt something snuggled into the crook of her neck placing a soft kiss there.Khushi placed her hands in the chest and pushed him but he was strong so it made no difference.Luckily he was kind enough to pull back himself.Khushi widened her eyes when she saw Arnav.She looked at his bare chest.He still had his shirt on but the buttons had come undone somehow.She looked back at him surprised.Arnav smiled and pulled her back in his arms,his face hiding back in the crook of her neck "How do you feel?" he asked.

Arnav nuzzled against her neck and pulled back.He leaned towards her making Khushi lie on her back on the bed with him hovering over her.He kissed her forehead then her left cheek then her right cheek then her skin which was really close to her lips earning a gasp from her "I love you" he whispered.

Khushi looked at him confused not hearing him properly "What did you say?"

Arnav shook his head "I'll tell you when the time is right" A knock on the door interrupted their small conversation "Come in" Arnav said.Hari Prakash opened the door and came in with a tray and bowl of soup "Give it to me" Arnav said.He took the tray from Hari Prakash and told him to leave.When he left,Arnav turned towards Khushi.He put the tray on the bed and helped Khushi sit up and lean against the headboard.Arnav sat across Khushi and took the bowl of soup from the tray.He brought up the spoon filled with the liquid and held it forward towards Khushi "Have some"

Khushi pouted "Do I have to?"

Arnav nodded and smiled "It's for your health"

Khushi opened her mouth and Arnav fed her the entire soup.He put the bowl back on the tray and looked at her.There was some liquid on the corner of her lip.Arnav leaned in towards Khushi making her confused.Arnav pressed his lips on the corner of her lip.She gasped and closed her eyes.Arnav leaned back a little and looked at her.He raised his hand and caressed her cheek.Khushi kept her eyes closed.Arnav leaned towards her and gently pressed his lips on hers fully.Khushi gave another small gasp giving Arnav entrance.Khushi raised her hands and clutched Arnav's shoulders.She gave a small moan when he sucked on her lower lip.Khushi innocently let her tongue dart out and felt a bolt go through her body when his touched hers.Arnav gave a sigh as he let go of Khushi and looked at her.Khushi opened her eyes and stared at him.She leaned forward and leaned against his chest.Her hands clutched the sides of his shirt.Then she said something that made his breath hitch "Sometimes I feel like I have known you longer than I actually have"
