reality show vs talent show

hi...apologies in advance if you are seeing this post twice. I tried to post it earlier a couple of days ago, but I am not seeing it in the forum, so here I go again...

Do you guys agree with me that this is not a real talent finding show, but a reality show (as SONY advertises) where it's really about the survival of the fittest? Sure, talent is a big part of it, but so it politics and survival. Sa-Re-Ga-Ma-Pa is probably a pure talent show, where only the judges get to judge.

So, I guess that makes it OK for Shamit, Arijit or any other person to play politics (if they indeed have, as they are accused to be) or for Arpita to make calculated moves or for Rex to appear friendly or for Qazi to make public vote for him with his attitute-acting-whatever. It's another matter what all these moves and public images will do to their long term career, but all these short term tactics look like fair game to me once I think of it as a survival-reality-game show, rather than a telent show.

Not sure how the top 2 are going to be selected. My guess is one of them will be truely talented (if that choice if left for the judges), the other one will be the one with the sharpest survival instincts (if that choise happens to have student-public involvement)
