Twinkle Khanna and Suzanne Khan have done the interiors of Rani Mukherji's apartment and new bungalow, respectively. Rani talks about bonding with the two women

Talk about girl bonding. Though busy with her shoots, Rani has found time to befriend two prominent star wives… for a very special purpose.

Says Rani, "People said I had gone into hiding. But that's not true. I've been getting my two homes decorated. Whatever time I had away from work, I spent with either Twinkle Khanna or Suzanne Roshan who are doing up my two homes."

Twinkle did up Rani's apartment at Yari Road and Suzanne, her new bungalow at Juhu. "Thankfully, the apartment is ready. Twinkle handed it over to me on Bengali New Year day, last week. In the last few weeks, when the details of the apartment's interiors were being finalised, I spent so much time with Twinkle that her husband Akshay and son Arhaan must have hated me."

Rani reminisces, "Twinkle and I have been friends for quite some time. We are very fond of each other. Then she got busy with her work and family. But we picked up the threads of our old friendship quite effortlessly when I asked her to do up my apartment. Twinkle has her own unique taste and style. My apartment now has Twinkle's stamp on it. When you enter the space she has created, you feel very calm and peaceful. Whoever has visited my apartment has really liked it."

Meanwhile, Suzanne has been working for two years on Rani's bungalow. "Suzanne has given her all for my home. In fact, Suzanne wasn't pregnant when she started doing up my bungalow. My niece was born while the two homes were being done up. So I get very good vibes about my new home."

Rani will soon shift with her family into the bungalow. "The apartment will be used for my work-related appointments… story sessions, costume sittings, etc. I feel attached to the apartment because I was born here," she says.

Rani looks back on the 10 years of her life in the industry with much pride and affection. "Every day you read about some unfortunate incident happening in some family. Every night I thank God that Mom, Dad and my brother Raja continue to be happy together. Now my bhabhi Jyoti has joined us. I feel closer to her than to my brother. My niece Myiesha has brought us more happiness. I have given her a typically Bengali nickname- Mishti. That's the flavour of my life now - sweet," she says.
