Hi guys, while watching TV today, I happened to come across the promo for a new English show that reminded me a LOT of YHM. It's called About a Boy, and its going to start soon. I did some research and here's the basic concept.
Successful songwriter and bachelor Will Freeman lives a carefree life as the "ultimate man-child". His perfect world is turned upside down when single mom Fiona and her 11-year-old son Marcus move in next door. He takes an unusual liking to the little boy whose polar opposite of a mother he just cannot see eye to eye with. How will the dynamics of this relationship play out? Watch About a Boy

Source: The Ellen Show.

I know its a little different with the whole custody aspect being missing, but I thought the similarities were interesting!

About a boy is adaptation of a very famous british movie of huge grant. This movie came way long before YHM.

bollywood has a problem of copying things from everywhere. plus the show is very different than YHM. 😛 YHM has a very different concept.

No no, that's not what i was referring to, I've seen that movie and its completely different. The show is about two neighbours who hate each other, and are brought together by mutual love for a child...which kinda is what YHM is about

i can't say that them being neighbours is a copy. there are so many shows where couples are neighbours and are single parent. YHM is totally different. the main concept of this show is that there old man is acting like a child and not growing up. and YHM is about a custody of a child. 😉

yeh however two being neighbours is similarity but so not a copy.

No worries hun, the show's name is about a boy, and while the character tropes are a little different, it seems that the minus the 'custody' issue, there are some similarities:)
