It's like doubting her guardians/foster parents, people who have given her love and security since being orphaned. Without proof it will be difficult for her accept just Rudra's words.

Similarly, we have never seen Rudra say or think aloud that Paro is innocent, but we are aware of his growing unease through expressions, when Paro mentions it. Similarly when Rudra mentioned Nandini, Paro was left uncomfortable and one could clearly see that her denying and thinking all is well is her defence mechanism. It is evident from her expressions that she has lurking fears but trying to subdue it. She is in so much turmoil that she does not know what to believe and what not to without being shown any proof from BSD. Adding to that her lifelong fear and mistrust of BSD will not just evaporate because of less jallad behaviour, though we can see she is confused about it.

They have never really clearly spelt it out but roughly that Thakur and his men from village are involved in cross border gun smuggling and are traitors.

Paro will go to jail for being an accomplice in smuggling and suppressing information about traitors.

Well Rudra himself gets confused sometimes about whether she's just a witness or a culprit too. But from what he told her last time about trying to lessen her punishment,I guess she would be jailed if she signs those papers
