Hi RRians! 🤗
I initially logged into IF with the intention of sharing a video with you of Ashish sending valentines wishes to his fans/audience.
But since then, i came across the infamous article which has caused a stir on the forum. Much has been said on the issue already but i just wanted to add my two cents... for what it's worth.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the matter and i've seen several reactions like:
- Ashish must think Sanaya is not up to his 'level' - even though we've had various articles/interviews where he has praised her and we've seen their (very good) off-screen masti and rapport.
- He must be a MCP because he thinks all women are dumb - even though he has not once uttered those words or shown such sentiment in any of his interviews.
- Ashish is letting fame get to his head - even though we got an article recently where he states he doesn't wish to be a star and is happy being an actor.
I'm sure there's more but you get the drift. When we have so much evidence that is contrary to what has been quoted in the article (by someone else no less) then shouldn't we give him the benefit of the doubt?
Agreed that the excerpt in question is distasteful and - quite frankly - not at all needed to be broadcast in an interview (that's another issue altogether!) but it could be that either the writer or Archana have not relayed those instances properly.
For example, where i come from we typically say we are ''on a level'' with those we get on well with. It has nothing to do with misplaced notions of superiority. And quite honestly, i have heard many men (and women) make offhand remarks about the opposite sex in jest. They still have respect for them though. I could be wrong but that's what i personally feel must have been the case here. The choice of words i admit, were unfortunate.
I'm not here to defend anybody's actions/words but just feel that unless we hear it from the man himself, we shouldn't jump to conclusions. If nothing else, let this be a lesson for the couple in question... that with fame and adulation comes great responsibility.
Now back to the title and the reason for this topic... the video! Enjoy! 😊
