Maan and Geet reached home.It was quite late..

Geet-Maan you get fresh I will tell Suresh to prepare something to eat

Maan=You forgot I told you to cook today

Geet was amused-You were serious?

Maan -yes..and believe me a I m not that bad in cooking..

Geet kept the packet of Suman's dress on the center table in hall and again asked-Maan you are sure na I mean it's quite late..

Maan-Maan singh khurana ne ek baar kah diya to kah diya..Peechhe nahin hatega..

Geet-As you wish ..I will be back in few minutes and she went in to her room ..Maan too went for some change and after he was back in kitchen few minutes .

He looked here and there and thought about what to cook..Finally he decided to cook pasta as it was fast and easy to cook..He switched on the gas stove and put pasta in a pan on gas to boil ..

Suresh came there and saw him working in the kitchen-maan Bhaiya ...Aap kya kar rahe ho? There is enough food in fridge.I will serve you

Maan-no today I m going tp make something different from that usaual food..Geet bhi aati hi hogi .Tum apna kaam karo job hi kar rahe the .I will do it myself.

Suresh-Are you sure bhaiya..I mean aap saare din ke baad aaye hain ..main bana deta hoon

Maan-Sureshhh ... Do as I said..tum apna kaam khatam karo..Today I m going to cook for ourselves

Suresh-Jjjii Bhaiya ..as you say and he went to do what he was doing

It was coincident that suman too came in the kitchen for some work and she saw Maan cooking something at that late hour

Maan looked at her but he ignored

Suman-Maan what are you doing in the kitchen at this time?

Maan -kucch nahi..was cooking something to eat..

Maan-Engagement kal hai .I will show my happiness tomorrow..we are not related in any relation till now so for me you are the same Suman whom I never liked, who always made anie cried for everything..aur haan agar tumhen mere baat karne ka tareeka theek nahin lag raha ho to you still have time to back out from this engagement ..I won't mind at all

Suman-If someone else was at my place still you would have talked to her in the same manner?

Maan-agar koi aur hoti to wo iss waqt apne ghar hoti Yahaan nahin. And yes I would have told her the reason for the marriage..shayad koi aur hoti to mana bhi kar deti but you are made of something diffrent material who is still ready to marry me after knowing the truth from your bua dadi.and please leave me alone here .. ab tum jaao..Geet abhi aati hi hogi.We both are very hungry .so need something to eat. We both got late only because your dress for tomorrow was not ready warna hum bhi Ronit uncle ke yahaan jaane wale the...If you don't mind can we have our dinner peacefully? I hope you have taken your dinner ..haven't you

Suman -yes..

Maan .then please go and sleep..good night

Suman fumed at the name of Geet-(ST) whole day she is at office ..they meet so many times there..still he is enjoying her company but he doesn't have a minute for me.. I don't know what everyone sees in Geet.This Geet is so important for this family that they don't even treat me like a future DIL of this house..No problem Maan ..kal se to tum mere hone hi wale ho phir dekhti hoon ki kaun tumhaare upar apne haq jatata hai..I promise you that this Geet does not roam around you to snatch my rights on you..and she left from there cursing Geet in her mind..

Maan started to cut the vegetables for pasta.and he forgot to see pasta if it was boiled or not Geet came there and she saw Maan busy in cutting..She looked in to the pan too and her eyes were wide to see the condition of pasta..she switched off the flame .She smiled and came there..

I m sorry maan .thodi der ho gayi ..I was talking to Rohit to ask about his mother.

Maan-hmm How is she now?

Geet-She is fine now..i have asked him to come tomorrow to attend the function .. aur pinky se bhi kah diya hai. I have asked them to come in the morning itself. I hope you won't mind

maan-Why I will mind..geet ye ghar jitna mera hai utna hi tumhara bhi hai..so you can do whatever you want..You don't need to ask anyone

Geet-jaanti hoon..achha bataaiye ki mera order ready hua ki nahin abhi tak?

Maan-Order?

Geet-Hmm aaj mujhe dinner ka invitation mila hai to mujhe bahut zor se bhookh lagi hai..

Maan-Gave her an apple-Sorry ma'am..order ready hone me.. thoda time hai abhi..yahaan faaltu log jyada aate hain jo time waste karte hai apna bhi aur dusron ka bhi .this apple is complementary gift today ..till your order is served .you can enjoy this?

Geet-Whom you are talking about Maan?

Maan -No one..just chill..Have your apple

Geet-waise ye khaane ka mann to nahin hai but I will have it only because I don't want to sleep hungry today.Dinner ka to pata nahin kaisa banega ..Chef Maan singh khurana is trying something for the first time thoda sa risk hai..i m trying him first time na..she cut that apple and gave one half to him-

Maan looked at her with a questioning eye

Geet-kha lijiye ..main nahin chahti ki aap bhi bhookhe soyen..after all aap meri wajah se hi to late hue na aur phir pasta ka bhi kya bharosa wo rahe bya na rahe..I think that pasta has turned in to an paste till now..lagta hai pasta ki koi special recipe bana rahe ho aap..

Maan-What? And he looked at the pasta .

It was too much overcooked that the pasta were broken in small pieces in the water and it was looking like a paste now..Geet laughed to see maan in that state

Maan-Oh no..Geet tum bhi na kitni baat karti ho ? dekho tumse baaten karne me saara pasta bekar ho gaya..(Maan cursed Suman in her mind for waiting his time)

Geet pouted-haww ,...Maan.. maine kya kiya ? main to abhi abhi ayi Ye to pahle se hi aisa ho gaya tha..and she made an angry face..maine to pahle hi kaha tha ki bahar kha lete hain but you said to cook yourself and now you are blaming me for this..

Maan felt bad for blaming her ..She was right..

Maan looked at Geet she was not looking at him..

Maan-Geet tum chinta mat karo ..Till you finish this apple I will boil pasta again .. vegetablae are already cut so will take few hrs.

Geet looked at the vegetables and forgot her anger and hunger..He had really done hard work to cook pasta..so she did not want to ruin his mood

Geet-No Maan you have done so much efforts to make this..let's make something different from this pasta..

Maan-Pasta se aur kya ban sakta hai?

Geet-Maan I know that I m not a good cook still I can modify the food .hum jaise lazy log kuchh bhi kha lete hain ..banana nahin aata na issiliye..You know.. mujhe pahle jo bhi kitchen me mil jata tha main uskme kuchh bhi mix kar deti thi aur kha leti thi..mamma used to scold me for having that junk food but I never listen to her..To aaj wahi art ko use karte hain..hai na

Maan was so surprised to hear that

She poured the pasta in strainer and she washed that with cold water. Over cooked pasta strained from the strainer and thick pieces were left in strainer..she added some oil in the that left over pasta so that it remains unsticky

Maan-Geet what are you doing?

Geet-Shhh..and start your work now .. I will not let your effort go wasted..itni mehnat se aap ne isko banaya hai um issi ko theek kar lenge I bet you will like it..aap vegetables fry kiljiye main coffee banaati hoon..Maan shallow fried the vegetables and cooked that pasta with those vegetables.. Geet took a spoonful pasta from that and tasted it

Geet-Not bad Maan..It tastes good..Now let's see what can be done

geet took some bread slices from the fridge and put the pasta between two pieces and kept them in grill sandwich toaster and leave them to make grilled pasta sandwiches..

By that time coffee too was ready..Maan was looking at her amused

Geet-kya dekh rahe hain chef Maan Singh Khurana. .have a seat and enjoy crispy tasty grilled pasta sandwiches cooked by us..ab mara naam bhi jud gaya hai iss dinner preparations me ..I won't give full credit to you alone

Maan -Geet I m sorry meri wajah se aaj tumhara dinner kharaab ho gaya.

Geet-who is saying that dinner is not good..pahle taste to kijiye ..aap hi ka banaya hua pasta hai..have a bite and tell how it is.aur saath me Geet special coffee bhi pijiye..kabhi kabhi life me bigdi hui cheese ko asaani se nahin chhod dena chahiye ..who knows we may get some better alternate.. dusri baat -kharaab cheese ko try karne se achchhi cheeson ki value badh jaati hai..Don't worry ..ye itna bura bhi nahin lagega.. zindagi bhar yaad rakhenge iss dinner ko aap..it's my promise.

Maan-Yes you are right I will never forget this dinner in my entire life..he said while looking at her..some thing was there in his voice that made Geet to look at him back but Maan handled his heartbeats well in time smiled in a normal way ...

And Geet started to eat pasta sandwich dinner with coffee..she signaled him to start

At first maan was hesitant to eat that sandwich but seeing Geet eating them without any bad expression he too started to eat..Geet was right ..it was not that bad

Both looked at other and laughed whole heartedly

Suman reached in room where taiji was chanting her night prayer before going to sleep .Suman set with a thud on the bed that made taiji to look at her

Taiji-Kya hua ..why are you so angry?

Suman-bua dadi..you know.Tomorrow is my engagement with Maan and he is behaving like I don't have any meaning for him..he sent me from the kitchen after scolding me..You know he is cooking some special dinner for Geet and himself. And he was saying that they were late because of me as Geet was preparing my dress only ..You know I feel jealous of Geet..

Taiji-Kya ? ye kya kah rahi hai tu? Maan dinner bana raha hai wo bhi Geet ke liye? inki dosti kuchh jyada hi badhti ja rahi hai aajkal..hone wali patni ghar me hai wo baat karne ke liye taras rahi hai aur wo hai ki tumhen bilkul importance nahin de raha ..aisa hi chalta raha to tujhe to iss ghar me kabhi teri sahi jagah nahin milegi..Let's see what they are doing and both headed towards the kitchen..

Ram and Priya had their dinner at Ronit's house but they could not relish that as Ronit's talks were still hitting their minds..after dinner they were ready to leave

Ram-nahin ronit.You were not wrong but we could not see that you saw..and yes nothing can be done now as it's very late now..tum aa rahe ho na kal

Supriya-off couse we will come..mujhe Geet se bhi to milna hai na ..jaldi hi hum USA wapis jaane waale hain..to geet se milne to main zaroor aaungi

Ram and Priya left from there..In the car priya was in deep thoughts..Ram was too still thinking about what Ronit said

Priya-Ram aap bhi wahi soch rahe hain kya?

Ram-Haan priya..How we could not see that..

Priya was ready to cry-why we always are not able to take right decision for Geet? We say her our daughter but can't take a single decision for her good. Every time we do a mistake when it comes to Geet..Shayad hum maa baap ban hi nahin paaye uske.Humne usko beti jaisa to maan liya shayad beti nahin maan paaye..

Ram-You are right priya..why we could not see whatever Ronit said.Man ke liye alag soch aur Geet ke liye alag soch kyun rakhi hamne..dono ne hi apna jeevansaathi ek hi saath khoya..and Ronit said that true that no one can understand them better than themselves..

Priya-haan Ram we had a diamond in front of our eyes but did not care of that..and she started to sob

Ram-leave that priya..ab jo hua use bhool jaao..ab to hum kuchh bhi nahin kar sakte hain.. Humne to yahi socha na ki geet yash ki patni hai and she wanted to live with us and we accepted her as our daughter.kabhi socha hi nahin iss baare ne..ghar aane wala hai priya control yourself..hume khud ko sambhaalna hi hoga ab aura age badhna hoga apne decision ke saath.Tomorrow is a big day for us so take care of yourself.

Priya-May be you are right Ram...But whenever I will see geet I will feel myself guilty for not thinking about her..Zindgi bhar mujhe dukh rahega ki humne kitni badi galati kar di ...

Ram-Priya we are at home .Control your heart..

Priya nodded and car stopped at Km and both got down of the car..

They reached in to their room..Priya was still trying to control her sobs..

Ram=priya drink some water.. and he took the the water jug in his hand and found it empty.He again said -Main abhi pani lekar aata hoon and he headed towards the kitchen to take the water as he reached near kichen he heard some sounds coming from the kitchen

Rame was surprised-Who is in the kitchen at this time of night and soon he entered the kitchen and saw Maan and Geet laughing at some thing

Maan-wiase ye itna bura bhi nahin hai geet.Thanks for saving my hardwork..

Geet-Hmm..Mention not..ab jaldi se finish kijiye..sona bhi hai subah bahut kaam hai ghar me..

And Maan made a face hearing that..

Geet saw then Ram and asked-Arrey papa aap log aa gaye? How was the dinner? I hope uncle was not angry on us for not going bhere?

Ram-it was good..and Ronit was not angry..tum log abhi tak soye nahin? Itni raat ho gayi hai

Geet-Ab kya Karen..aaj ka dinner chef Maan singh Khurana ne banaya to asaani se kaise milta.? It was special na? Aap try karenge? Pasta sandwiches with coffee? Believe me Papa it's very nice...

Ram was again having a guilt in his heart seeing them together. Ronit was very right about them..They were looking perfect with each other..How stupid he was who could not see that before..He came near Geet kept his hand on her head.-No Geet.I m full ..You enjoy your dinner and he packed on her head-Good night ..and in his heart he wished-I m sorry Geet,,apne iss pita ko maaf kar dena.He put his hand on Maan's shoulder and try to hold his feelings

Geet and Maan were surprised to see Ram behaving like that..He was looking some disturbed

Maan-papa what happened..Are you OK..?Maa ... Maa to theek hai na..

Ram-haan ..She is fine I was here to take water..

Geet-Ok I will give you.. she took the jug from Ram and poured water in that jug .She gave it back to Ram .

Ram smiled at her and said -Tum log jaldi so jana.. Kal bahut kaam hai..

Geet-Ji papa ..bas hamara dinner ho gaya hai ..hum jane hi wale hain..and Ram wished both of them goodnight and left..He was now having tears in his eyes..

There were two pairs of eyes too..One was full with anger to see them together..She was taiji and another pair of eyes was looking at them with a feel of jealousy seeing how Ram loved Geet,,He never behaved like that with her in last one week..he was treating him as she was not much important for him..She was Suman..who wanted to tear apart Geet in to pieces..

Maan-thanks geet for this wonderful dinner

Geet-What did I do?

Sab kuchh to aapne hi kiya maine to bas helpo ki aapki..So a Big Thanks to you to make that pasta..It was really nice..

As Geet and Maan finished their dinner Geet cleared the kitchen and both came out of the kitchen..Taiji and Suman hid behind the wall of kitchen so that maaneet could not see them..

Maan and Geet headed towards their rooms after wishing Goodnight to each other

After they disappeared Taiji and Suman came out of the hideout

Taiji-You were right Suman..I will to work fast..chalo aaj se hi thoda sa kaam shuru karte hain We will have to sow the seed of doubt in everyone's heart against Geet..and she picked up the dress of suman which Geet kept on the center table..
