Mangalpur?

I was re-watching the Mangalpur episodes and I realized that Asad abandoned the only mode of transport he had - the motorbike. I mean they could have just ridden off into the sunset and straight to Bhopal on that bike so why did they abandon it and walk into the forest? But then again, that would not have been dramatic enough and we wouldnt get the amazing graveyard sequence.
