Astha was trembling by the time Shlok got up and voiced his question. Her lips were swollen from his deep kisses, and her sari was lying around somewhere. Suddenly she felt bereft without his weight on her. She felt bare and exposed. Astha crossed her arms in front of herself in an instinctive move.
Shlok was even more disturbed seeing her reaction. Was she for real? Why was she covering herself up as if she is some shy Victorian maid? He ran his hands through his already messed up hair, and looked at her squarely in the eye. "So have you ever had sex before?"
Astha's eyes widened. "Why..why do you want to know?" Immediately her tone went defensive. Astha didn't feel like discussing her non existent sex life with Shlok. It was getting uncomfortable talking about such things to him. And that was quite funny, considering she was beneath him less than five minutes ago.
"If you were experienced, you would not have snatched your hand back as if you committed a cardinal sin. Taking my lead, you would have pleasured me by now and we would have been f**king hard and fast in this same bloody bed." He finished harshly, looking at her all the while.
Astha's mouth opened in shock at his words. Her blush rose from her neck to her hairline. She could not look at him and lowered her eyes to her feet. Her hands found the discarded sari, and she wrapped it around her like a shawl. She swallowed hard and refused to answer his question.
Shlok was irritated and he changed his tactics. "So tell me Astha, what were you exactly doing with Joshi in the same house. That too for over one year."
Astha literally let out a gasp. "How...how do you know about Joshi?" She felt disoriented, and she pulled the sari closer to her small body. Astha's eyes were still partially glazed with desire. Yet she felt emotional and disturbed at the mention of Joshi.
"Just answer me dammit. What the hell were you both doing in the same house? Weren't you living with him?" He almost sounded angry. Shlok had reached the end of his tether, trying to get a straight answer from the tiny child-woman sitting right in front of him.
"I..he..we..both of us never had that sort of a relationship." She again looked down as she completed that with stutters and stammers. Shlok immediately tipped her chin up.
"Look at me when you're talking to me." He sounded firm, almost like a school principal, and Astha detested that tone. "So what was he to you? Was he gay? How could he live in with you, yet not touch you?" Now Shlok sounded genuinely perplexed. Here was he, trying his level best to keep off from Astha for a month and failing miserably. How can any normal red blooded man not touch those luscious curves?
"He was my foster brother."
"What?" Of all the things, her answer was the least expected.
"Yes. Joshi and I grew up for a few years in the same foster house. He is more like a brother to me. He was elder than I, and went out a few years before I did. When I came out, Joshi was diagnosed with cancer. He was battling for his life. I didn't want him to go through with it alone. We may not have been related by blood, but I definitely valued his relationship. I offered to take care of him, and I did till he..."
Astha almost choked on the last part. Joshi's death was a very painful period in her life, one that she didn't want to go back to. Shlok was just thrown by her admission. He felt something in his cold heart for the very first time in a long, long time. He had a family whom he didn't want but she made someone she grew up with as her family. They just couldn't be more different.
And that fact hit him really hard at that instant. F**k! So she was after all a roses and chocolates girl and he was a complete bas***d. What could he offer her other than his body and his sexual skills? He was afraid to voice out his doubt, knowing he will not like the answer. Yet he had to know.
"So you're a...you have never..I mean are you a virgin?" Put like that it came out baldly, but he had to know. Astha again reddened against his question and his piercing eyes. But she had to be honest if she wanted to move ahead with this relationship.
"Yes." It was a whisper.
"Shit!" He got up from the bed and stood a few feet away from her. His shirt was unbuttoned. Astha realized with a jolt that it was she who had unbuttoned his shirt during their love making. She felt strange at her own bold actions. Astha was usually introverted and extremely shy. Yet this man brought out strange sensations in her.
"Am sorry, I didn't know. I thought you were more experienced and knew what you were getting into. I didn't realize you've never had a lover. If you want to leave from this whole thing, you can. I completely understand." He sounded serious and shrugged as he finished.
Astha knew what he implied. He was not a forever man and he didn't want to tarnish her image , nor lead her into romantic notions. She had understood all that while she got in. And nothing really changed for her. "No, I want to stay." Her voice was soft, yet firm. Her guileless eyes looked deep into his black ones.
If Shlok had been surprised at her virginity, he was even more surprised now. He had not expected Astha to come into this with her eyes open. Yet she was brave enough to take the chance. Shlok realized he was a lucky bas***d. He had never slept with a virgin and he was uncharacteristically possessive about her, now that she had agreed.
One tiny part of him rejoiced that she belonged to him alone. If he had been jealous before, he was feeling positively medieval now. He wanted none to even look at his Astha. In his mind, Shlok could already imagine teaching Astha so many things. He wanted to f**K her in every way possible.
His member was twitching in response to his thoughts. He was instantly hard, just thinking about the two of them together. Shlok almost felt disgusted at his response like a teenager fantasizing about his first crush. Yet he was waiting to claim her his.
Shlok looked at the watch. It was nearly eleven. They had to be up early tomorrow. He had given her his word till her exams and he intended keeping to his word. "C'mon, it's getting late. Let's go to bed. To sleep. Both of us need to be up early."
"But? Aren't we? I mean..." She bit her lip and stopped, not knowing how to put it in words without sounding wanton or desperate. Her color was already acceding with her wicked thoughts about the two of them together. She remembered how he felt beneath her small hand, and started shaking with renewed need.
"Don't!" His voice was husky. "Don't look at me like that Astha. I'm trying to go slow considering your inexperience. It won't take a minute for me to show what it's all about. But now is not the time. Just finish the damn exams and more importantly, think whether you really want this during the week. And then decide."
"I want you." Her answer was straight and to the point. He became rock hard just hearing those words from her innocent mouth. Shlok turned around and walked out before he stripped her and had his way with her.
"Shlok..." She stopped him with her soft voice.
"What?" He partially turned, he had not bothered to button his shirt.
"Can I sleep in your room today? In your bed?" She didn't know what made her ask this question. The usually meek Astha never thought she would ask this to Shlok. For the first time in her life, she didn't care about anything. Astha felt alone after being so close with him. She craved him like a drug. And Astha wanted to use every second they had together, not caring whether this will last forever or not.
"Okay." His voice sounded low. He cursed himself for agreeing. He never did the cuddling or the cossetting. What the hell had gotten into him? Maybe someone should just give him a prize for sainthood. For baby sitting her on his bed, despite the violent protest his body was throwing at him.
He wondered idly if there was a cure for a permanent hard on. Chuckling at his own thoughts, Shlok pulled Astha and led her to his room.
