Article - I am not Manoj Bohra - Vikas

It is often seen that it takes time for actors to fit into another actor's shoes and the comparison becomes inevitable. The plight is now shared by Vikas Sethi who is trying to carve his niche in Manoj Bohra's well essayed role of Prerna's spoilt brat Prem in Kasautii Zindagi Kay.

Sources say that the TRP's haven't improved and the reason spotted was that Vikas was not well accepted as Prem.

Here is Vikas' version. "Primarily we are two very different actors. In a class of 40 students it is unfair to expect everyone to be at par. I don't know whether I am going up or down. But I am going to do it my way. I am not Manoj Bohra, I am Vikas Sethi"

Sethi is receiving flak from the channel and the production house for attempting to imitate Manoj Bohra's hip hop mannerism for the role of Prem. He has now been asked to develop his own style.

However Vikas disapproves of the same, stating that he is not imitating Bohra in the first place, "I am not imitating, but I can't certainly lose the basic character of Prem. So we will hold the essence and not change it drastically, it's not possible."

The fact seems different from the attempts, but we hope that he makes a distinct look for us to forget Manoj Prem Bohra sooner than expected.
