InsecuritiesChapter 2:
Today morning NK went to Lucknow to meet his friend. It was just a random visit. On the way back he saw a place which was very beautiful. It was nearly time for the sun to set. He told the driver to stop the car. He came out of the car with his camera to click some pics. When he walked ahead he realized that it is a cliff. But it was very serene. When he looked further interestingly he spot something on the edge of the cliff. He walked further and the vision got cleared. He understood that it was a woman. She was standing very near to the edge of the clip. His curiosity increased to know why was a woman standing at the edge of a cliff alone at this time. When he walked ahead he was shocked to see Khushi. He ran towards her and stood near to her. She didn't even notice him. She was just staring at nothing particularly.
NK: "Khushiji..." She didn't even flinch when he called her name. "Khushiji.. What r u doing here and where is Nannav?" He again asked but she didn't answer. She continued staring. "Should I call Nannav?" He was about to dail Arnav's number when she spoke.
Khushi: "Pls don't disturb him." Khushi told still not looking at him.
Nk: "But Khushi ji... W.." He was cut off by Khushi.
Khushi: "Pls leave me alone Nanheji." She told nonchalantly.
NK: ''But.."
Khushi: "Today is my parent's death anniversary." That was enough for NK to understand her situation and feeling. He kept quiet and stood near her. He didn't call Arnav or Anjali as he felt that he should first talk to Khushi.
When the sun set she turn back and looked at NK and walked back from the cliff. NK just followed her. NK noticed that her eyes was puffy. Her face was red in colour. They both walked back to his car and got in. Khushi showed the direction and the driver drove the car to the destination. The journey was silent. Through out NK stealed glances at Khushi but she was looking outside through the window. They both got down from the car. NK noticed that they were in front of a house which was a simple one but very spacious. A priest was waiting for them there. Khushi walked towards the house and opened the door and got in. NK and the priest followed the suit.
Soon the pooja started. Khushi's parents photo was kept in front. The priest was chanting the mantras and Khushi was seated in front with eyes closed palm folded. NK was seated behind her. There was an eerie silence. Soon the pooja got finished and the priest went away after blessing Khushi. Khushi looked at NK.
Khushi: "I'm staying here tonight." With that she went to a near by room with her parents photo and closed the door. NK want to ask her many questions but seeing her condition he didn't felt to. He took out his phone and dialled Arnav.
NK: "Nannav I'm NK. Khushiji is with me. We r in Lucknow."

It was mid night when Arnav and Anjlai reached Khushi's house. As soon as the car halted Arnav got down and ran towards NK who was standing at the door step.
Arnav: "Where is Khushi? Is she okay?" He asked worriedly.
Anjali: "Don't be that much worried now Chottey, It's not worthy now." She mocked him sharply. Arnav closed his eyes in regret.
Arnav: "Di pls.." But he was cut off by NK.
NK: "Di... She is sleeping now." He told very calmly. Arnav was about to rush towards her but NK stopped him. "Don't disturb her. Let her sleep. She is very weak. And I want to talk to u. Let Di take her of her." With that he sent Anjali towards Khushi.
Nannav: "U know what... Today is Khushiji's parents death anniversary. At least today u could have spend some time with her. But no.. u were busy. Where we r standing is Khushiji's own house. When i saw her today she was so vulnerable. I didn't see Khushiji like this... She was so... Pls Nannav.. It's time for u to be sensitive and sensible towards her." Arnav was very shocked sad hearing this. Tears pooled in his eyes.
Anjali: "That's why she told me that she was going to HER house instead of Buaji's house." Anjali who came there by the time spoke while NK nodded.
Anjali: "Chottey... Today u should be there with Khushiji when she needed u but u were not there. You found important to be with ur friend and her son. First u should make ur wife happy and then try others to make happy. I care for Khuhsiji and u more Chottey... She is a gem. Don't lose her beacause of ur foolishness." She told him emotionally and walked away from there leaving a broken Arnav.

Arnav entered the room and saw that Khushi was sleeping on the bed hugging her parents picture. He gulped down his pain. He came towards Khushi and caressed her hair. He kissed her forehead.
Arnav: "I'm sorry Khushi... Pls forgive me. I know i was not there when u needed me. But i promise u that i will be there for u when u need me. I promise u Khushi." With that he lied down with her and pulled her towards him. She ended up crashing on his chest. She put her head on his chest in her sleep. He closed his eyes feeling content on being Khushi in his arms.
