Just watched the repeat telecast of last weeks epis and yesterdays episode which i missed yesterday, and i have to say that although there were few illogical things here and there, all the episodes of last week were quite good, well executed, fast and crisp, which is one of the main reasons why i love watching QH...even if a track drags at times, the scenes at least never drag.
Now coming to past week's episodes, the highlight of the story at the moment is of course Zoya's Abbu and the whole week belonged to Ghaffur Siddique.
Abbu and lost daughter VS Raziya:
The week started with the episode in which Abbu finally found out that his lost daughter is none other than the girl who had been living with him for days and whom he had insulted and reprimanded and finally told his wife to kill, so that he could avoid going to jail and be around to protect his other daughter who he believed was all that he has in life.
A father cannot face a worse situation than this, and although i would like to say that he deserved this, its really sad to see Siddique's anguish and regret about what he has done and his desperation to save his daughter.
Siddique was a man who had always allowed his wife Raziya to rule and this was evident even in the flashbacks of the time when Raziya killed Zainab. He was horrified when he learnt that Raziya had killed Zainab, but still he went along with her and helped her to cover up the crime by asking Rashid to put fire in the factory and there by framing Rashid.
But on this day, his love for his lost daughter woke him up and in his desperation to save her he went against Raziya for the first time and even lifted his hand to hit her.
And on the other hand, his desperation for his daughter and his attempt to save her, and her failure in killing Zoya has further fueled Raziya's anger to the extent that she is now all ready to frame Siddique for Zainab's murder if he dared to tell the truth to Zoya.
Siddique is now a mellowed man and just an Abbu and the only thing he wants is to engulf his lost and found daughter with his love and for that he is ready to do any thing.
He is ready to acknowledge a man he had hated and looked down all these days, Asad Ahmed khan, as the man in his daughters life - he did not hesitate to ask Asad to go and save Zoya and then yesterday he even went to the extent of giving Asad the chair he had been proudly sitting all these days as the head of his family... A chair when Zoya had come few days back and claimed as Asad's had angered him so much... but yesterday without feeling any humiliation, he himself had told Asad to take that chair... he had bowed in front of his daughter and her would be husband while that would be was was hurling accusations at him and threatening to send him to jail.
And his only answer to that threat and accusation was a simple statement that he had understood the value of relationships only now after he reached this juncture in life... he himself has understood what an irony his life is.
Its also evident that Siddique has now even accepted Dilshad, a woman he had hated and appreciates how much Dilshad loves his daughter... the way he made Humaira say sorry to them and told Dilshad that nothing will happen to Zoya and she will come back safe was proof of this.
He is yearning to give his love to his daughter...but Raziya is in the way and had snatched his hand just as he was about to touch his daughter and she had given her ultimatum... that she will not hesitate to frame him for Zainab's murder and that his daughter will hate him for that... and he is left with no choice but to wander outside the corridor of his daughters room and hear her calling out to her Abbu with longing.
The daughter:
It looks like Zoya has developed an unknown connection with Siddique ever since she came home after being kidnapped and Siddique went up to her and told her emotionally that even if he tried he can never harm her. She does not yet know that he is her father and she had not even understood what he really meant by that statement but it appears that she has started to see some 'sachai' in his eyes. Eventhough she had lived with him all these days she had never felt that but from the moment Siddique leant the truth and has started to feel for her and love her, unknowingly and without even realizing it, Zoya is feeling that love and is getting pulled towards her Abbu and has even started to defend him in front of Asad.
Blood is indeed thicker than anything and how long can Raziya keep this Abbu from his daughter and his daughter finding out the truth.
AAK, the would be husband and SIL and the friend:
Asad had always hated Siddique and Raziya because of what happened 17 years back and today after Zoya's kidnapping he has all the more reason to hate Siddique as he believes that they are the people behind the kidnapping and trying to harm his Zoya because of their angst against him. So to avenge his father and now the murder attempt on his beloved Zoya, he is hell bent on sending Siddique to jail.
And he does not like it when Zoya tries to defend that man.And as far as he is concerned Siddique and Raziya can never be innocent
I had always wanted to see Asad and Siddique confrontation because of Zoya but i had envisioned hatred from Siddique's side as well and his refusal in allowing his daughter to marry his sworn enemy... but from the way the story has moved this is never going to happen but i am still enjoying Asad's anger and the confrontations resulting from that... i hope this gets explored more during the upcoming Nikah and finally when the truth comes out in front of all.
Now another aspect of Asad's character that has come to light during this is, his newly found friendship with Haidar.
I have seen that many in the forum did not like Asad and Haidar's scene yesterday, and even to me at first it felt a little odd but when i think of the whole thing i do not find it odd and in fact i like this new development.
Haidar and Asad bonded that day when they went to rescue Zoya. Asad was at a loss as to what to do when Haidar suddenly came in the car and told him to hop in... they went together and searched for Zoya with no luck... And then out of desperation Asad started to pray and Haidar followed suit and even prayed with him... i simply loved how they both looked at each other at the end of the prayer with an understanding... the look said that Asad understood that no matter what, Haidar was there to help him and his Zoya and Haidar's look said he is there for them.. then they went and rescued Zoya.
One never forgets a person who helps him in such a life defining situation and comes to know that the other person is trustworthy and automatically forms a bond with that person even if they have not interacted at all before... and thats what has happened for Asad when it came to Haidar.
Asad does not trust people easily and used to be a very reserved person... but he has changed overtime after Zoya came in to his life...he had even started joking and pulling people like Najma and Zoya's leg at times.
And then now after this experience he had with Haidar, its not surprising that he had formed a bond with Haidar and has started to behave with Haidar as a friend and a normal man would usually behave..earlier he would only be that relaxed with Ayaan but abscence of Ayaan may be another reason for his bonding with Haidar...and eventhough he has accepted Haidar as a friend, he is still not too comfortable with him and it was funny the way he reacted when Haidar tried to hit him in a friendly manner, and i liked this humorous way the CVs have tried to show that even though Asad has accepted Haidar as a friend, he is still not too comfortable to behave so spontaneously the way people like Ayaan and Haidar would do.
And except for Asad asking Haidar about Humaira as if he accepts that relationship, the Asad - Haidar bonding and their talk about girls was completely understandable and i don't find it odd.
Now it is to be seen where this new bond and new relationship goes.As Zoya's cousin brother, Haidar is definitely going to have more bonding with Asad.
But if Ayaan returns, the equation would definitely change in some way.
Could it be that Ayaan will start hating even Asad for bonding with the man who has snatched his love and even approving that relationship?
The story is at a stage where so much can be explored in future and i hope the CVs are developing the story with this in mind.
But looks like nothing much will develop on the story front till the Nikah happens?
But, if spoilers are to be believed, Tanveer will kidnap Zoya again on wedding day. .. If so could it be the time when Ghaffur goes all out to save Zoya without giving a heed to Raziya's threat and the Abbu truth finally comes out in front of others?
