Basic Gradient Overlay Text Tutorial
With 2 Colors
example:

credit: 18shabbo(me!)
Made in Image Ready(PS v.8/CS 1)

___

Step1).
Open a transparent layer and type anything with your choice of font.

___

Step2).
Go to Animation Tab and duplicate frames to three or more.

___

Step3).

Now keep frame1 selected and your text layer selected and go to layer style:

Or right click the text layer to go to Layer Style.

___

Step4).
Apply Drop Shadow from layer style option , these are my settings:

And outer glow:

___

Step5).
Now choose 2 different colors in Foreground and Background:

___

Step6a).
Keeping frame 1 and text layer selected , go to Layer Style<Gradient Overlay.

and apply these settings:

Step6b).
Select frame 2 and change Gradient Overlay settings to this:

Step6c).
Select frame 3 and change Gradient Overlay settings to this:

___

Put a time loop of your choice (I have 0.1 sec) , run forever and check once before saving as gif or 'save for web and devices.'

Pay attention to all the options in red/blue/orange rectangles.
This style depends on the flow of colors. Its like a wave. We do Linear in frame 1 so that Purple comes first followed by pink and then purple moves towards right so pink will move further away in right and loop around to come to left. Thus reflected. Then Purple moves further to right and pink comes to left where once purple was. Thus again Linear but reversed.

Note: You can use Drop Shadow and Outer Glow, both or one or none, but if using, always apply them before you apply gradient overlay to text.

You can even use 3 colors and keep shifting positions similarly in Gradient overlay, like this:

(tut for this later)

Done!😃

Basic Tutorial for animated Text : "Globe Light."
With 2 Colors
example:

credit: 18shabbo(me!)
Made in Image Ready(PS v.8/CS 1)

___

Step1).
Open a transparent layer and type anything with your choice of font.
Apply Drop shadow/Outer Glow by going to Layer<Layer Style.

Drop Shadow:

Outer Glow:

___

Step2).
Change the color of your text to a dark shade and make a new layer on top of the text layer.

___

Step3).

Select this new layer and go to Layer<Create Clipping Mask.

___

Step4).
You will see an inverted enter key sign type next to this layer.

___

Step5).
Now choose a light shade of the same color or a contrasting
color but very light to your text layer.
And using the brush tool (soft and opacity 100% , blend mode:Normal, size 100-120)

___

Step6a).
Apply the brush
on the clipped mask layer so that its on top of the text:

You will see that this Globe light(brush) will have a node rectangle using which you can move it around over the text by move tool.

Step6b).
Now duplicate the frames. Either Duplicate to 7-8 frames and keep shifting this light in each to make it go in a circle or duplicate frames one by one.

These are my shifting SCs and I have duplicated the frames in one go rather than doing frame 1 and then duplicating it to frame2 , then shifting in frame 2 and duplicating for frame3(you know what I mean..):

7

I had made 8 frames but my circle got completed in 7 , so delete the non-essential frames.

___

Put a time loop of your choice (I have 0.1 sec) , run forever and check once before saving as gif or 'save for web and devices.'

There are just two layers in this whole set up: Your text layer and the clipped mask layer.

I have used Globe light in vertical flow here:

Basic Tutorial for Glitter Animation Graphic(Using Brushes)
With One color.
Grey Glitter
example:

credit: 18shabbo(me!)
Made in Image Ready(PS v.8/CS 1)

___

Step1).
Open a transparent document and apply your brush.

___

Step2).
Type your text/duplicate frames and apply your layer style settings to the text.
___

____

Step3).
Now in the layer panel, just above the brush layer make a new layer.

and to this layer add clipping mask:
Layer<Create Clipping Mask.

___

Step4).
To this layer using the "paint bucket tool" apply a color of your glitter choice( I used grey)

Color applied:

___

Step5).
Now keep this clipped layer selected and do this:

Add noise settings:

(This is used in the tut but its not necessary to go by this)
Generally I use these:

___

Step6).
Duplicate the clipped masked layer(which now has noise) 1time , if you have even no. of frames(2 glitter layers) , but if like mine you have odd no. then duplicate 2 times(3glitter layers).

___

Step7).
Select these duplicate layers one by one and change noise settings slightly:

On the 2nd duplicate(layer3 glitter) change to somewhere b/w 8 to 17.

___

Step8).
Now go to your animation tab and see that when frame 1 is selected then only Layer1 of glitter is visible:
Frame 2 glitter layer 2( if glitter 1 is visible too then its no problem but 3 should be closed):
Frame 3 glitter layer 3( if glitter 1 and 2 are visible too then its no problem):

____

Step9).
If you feel that your glitter is light or seems flat then
, select frame 1 and go to the brush layer, select it and do Layer<Layer Style<Drop Shadow + Outer Glow:

Drop Shadow:

Outer Glow:

Put a time loop of your choice (I have 0.1 sec) , run forever and check once before saving as gif or 'save for web and devices.'

This is made with 2 glitter layers , thus there will be 4 frames:

_____
2

With two colors.
Mixed Glitter
example:

credit: 18shabbo(me!)
Made in Image Ready(PS v.8/CS 1)

____

Step1).
Follow the steps from above till applying brush/typing text/duplicating frames/adding new layer and applying clipping mask.

____

Step2).
Now get 2 colors in your Foreground/Background and either by using brush or by using Gradient fill apply them in the clipped layer:

I used brush.
____

Step3).
Colors applied:

____

Step4).
Now to this layer add noise:

____

Step5).
Duplicate the layer and apply different amounts of noise to the duplicated layers:

____

Step6).
Check the visibility of layers with respect to frames:

____

Step7).
Select frame 1 and go to the brush layer and apply Drop shadow/Outer Glow to it(follow the above tut).

Done!
