Top Five Television Girls to Watch Out in 2014

Posted by: Swati Tewari , January 29, 2014

The new year is here and so are some new shows on TV! WSL lists out the top five girls you are gonna watch on your favorite channels this season.

Preetika Rao in Beintehaa on Colours TV

Preetika Rao

Film actor Amrita Rao's sister, a film journalist and a fashion model, Preetika acted in a number of movies down south before trying her luck in television. She debuts as Aaliya Ghulam Hyder in Beintehaa, a contemporary Muslim social drama.

Preetika, who recently mentioned in an interview that she is not comfortable doing reality shows, plays the role of a petite Muslim girl in the new show. Flaunting a traditional, yet glamorous look, she looks promising as a young debutant. Watch out a story of two individuals who don't love, nut hate each other and tell us what you think of this lovely babe.

Sanaya Irani in Rang Rasiya on Colours TV

Sanaya Irani

A popular face on TV, Sanaya is here with her first project with Colours TV as Parvati in Rang Rasiya. Parvati aka Paro is an orphan who believes in love. What is going to be worth watching is how Sanaya portrays this intense character.

The show is yet another love-hate saga where we see Sanaya in some really heavy and wonderful Rajasthani attire. She plays a caring and innocent gaon in gori in the serial and looks quite convicing as Paro.

Neha Marda in Doli Armanoo Ki on Zee TV

Still remembered as Gehna from Balika Vadhu, this is Neha's first project as the protagonist. Neha essays the role of the starry-eyed small town bride Urmi who is waiting for her knight in shining armor.

Neha recently mentioned she is happy to play her age compared to the rather mature Gehna. She plays a 19-year-old girl who has high hopes for life. Flaunting a girl-next-door kinda look, what's gonna be worth watching is if Neha will be able to break away with the Gehna-image.

Kanchi Singh in Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya on Zee TV

krystal d'souza

Though she is not really a new face on TV, thanks to the numerous advertisements she has been a part of, this is Kanchi Singh's debut as a female lead. She has worked as a child artist in Kasam Seh and Kahin Toh Hoga among others.
Kanchi plays the role of Avni, a college student from Jaipur who is very close to her family in this new TV serial. She looks pretty cute and innocent. Watch out for she comes across as a very bubbly and charming girl sporting designer salwar kurtas with jackets.

Krystle D'Souza in Ekk Nayi Pehchaan on Sony TV

Another Face that's relatively known to us, yet is here as a female lead in a brand new serial alongside the beautiful Poonam Dhillon. Last seen as Jeevika in Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Krystle plays the protagonist Sakshi in Ekk Nayi Pehchaan.

What's worth watching is the interesting chemistry between Poonam Dhillon and Krystal in this rather different saas-bahu story. Both turn out to be great friends for each other which is a new thing as we are used to all the saas-hates-bahu thing!

Yeh i love what they wrote about her! Cz what a contrast in the short intro itself!

A simple caring gaon ki gor in one line and an intense character in another! Which is a very short n sweet apt description on Paro ❤️

And a sensible take on love hate sagas.. :D

Anyway feel good to see that she among the established bunch is still making heads turn!!! 👏

And hope this show brings all the accolades she so richly deserves for her acting prowess!!

All the best to Krystal too! 😳
