On KYPH in general and Thursday's episode in particular

Well. Well. Well. Another week of KYPH has come and gone, leaving us all still hanging in the balance, waiting with breathless anticipation for Monday to roll around. I'll say this about kyph, when it first started, it wrought one of the most astounding changes in my life; I started disliking weekends. I could not stomach the idea of three days w/o kyph. While my friends all moaned and groaned on Monday mornings, I could be seen going around cheerfully in anticipation of another sizzling episode of kyph later in the day. And after a very long time, I'm experiencing the same urgent yearning that the three days till Monday slip away quickly.

Because next week, there are going to be FIREWORKS!!! When the most awaited re-union of the century takes place.

You know, I stumbled upon kyph by chance at a friends place. While she had a long-winded phone conversation, I was flipping through TV channels and suddenly when I put on Sony, there was this guy (our dearly beloved Angoo baby) stumbling into a building (our dearly beloved outhouse) with a girl staying there (yup. Also our dearly beloved Kripa.) lol. The very first momentous meeting of Angad and Kripa. And also the first time I laid eyes on two characters that have grown so close to my heart. That instant marked the start of the massive fixation that I have with kyph that is now well into its sixth month and growing stronger everyday, in fact. And it was responsible for another very imp milestone in my life. I stumbled upon this incredible forum and met all of you amazing people.

Anyways. Moving on to Thursday's episode. So Mishty decided to thwart Mommy Bose's nefarious plans. What with Prithvi being such a complete sweetheart, according to the Set India preview, my faith in the Bose sibling's basic decency, albeit a bit delayed, has fully being restored. The Bose family would do well to go away on a long long holiday. Preferably taking the Khanna family with them. So that this time around when a-k get together, they stay together without having to deal immediately with another round of intrigues and machinations to tear them apart.

The sequence where Kripa conjures up the brilliantly arrogant and effusive Angad (hmmmmmm! the thought's that she's already kind of married to him has got to be buried somewhere in her subconscious mind if she's projecting Angad saying all that stuff.) was really the most heart stopping moment of the day. Because, boy-o-boy, bad boy Angad really does set all hearts a flutter. And since showing my knack for immense stupidity, for a moment I thought that he'd actually showed up in the flesh to put an end to all the nonsense going on. Talk about wishful thinking!!! So there I was gripping the edge of my seat when it transpired that Ekta darling had pulled another of her "dream" sequences. Sigh!!!!!!!! When will I learn.

I cannot believe how much into kyph I am, since I don't normally even watch soaps, let alone follow them so fanatically and I also cannot believe how nauseatingly mushy I've become since I started watching this serial. As my younger brother suggested so kindly when he walked into my room and found me crying all over the TV set yesterday, after I'd mistakenly assumed for a moment that the much dreaded specter of the Prithvi-Kripa wedding was actually turning into reality, that I needed to get my head checked.

Btw, did anyone notice that when the baraat arrived and Kripa's mom was doing that waving/circling thing with the golden platter (sorry, I've forgotten what's it called) with the groom, viewed sideways it looked like she was doing it for Angad. Hmmmmmmmm! Symbolism, anyone? So as everybody's already figured out, I spent the duration of the episode on Thursday, jumping from one wild assumption to another. What can I say? I'm finally cracking up under the strain of watching Angad and Kripa behaving like such lovelorn fools.

Oh well. Crazy I may be, but that's not going to stop me from having a perfectly lovely time imagining the runner that Kripa's going to pull, straight into Angad's arms, when she hears about her beloved being in mortal peril. The preview for Monday, btw, was actually painful to watch. Ouch!!! But hey, we got to see macho Angad in prime form, rushing to protect his sweetheart's life and getting shot for his troubles. But if that's what it takes to have his ladylove returned to him, then I guess he'll just have to brave the pain. Poor, poor, poor baby!!!!!

Much as I hate to admit it, but the balaji ppl managed to actually pull one over us, the way they built up the cousins wedding and nearly gave us all heart attacks by thinking it was p-k's wedding. To think, I pretty much had a coronary just because Kripa apparently loves dressing up for her cousins' weddings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Angad, sweetheart, it's always a good idea to read the date on the wedding card before showing up for the event. Don't mind me, I'm just harping on like this because I'm just so relieved that both my sweeties are finally going to get back together. At long last!!!

And this time a-k, sweethearts, all I can say is, HANG ON to each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And for the rest of us poor helplessly addicted viewers, all I can say is, next week is going to be PARTYYYYYYYYYY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😃

P.s. you know in the Set India preview, where it says Prithvi tells Kripa to go to angad and then Angad and Kripa hug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the moment when I'm going to MELTDOWN c.o.m.p.l.e.t.e.l.y. So cannot wait. 😛

P.p.s. sorry about this post, but I was feeling kind of nostalgic today.

I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, but only more love.

Lovely post! 👏

Btw, wasn't Kripa and her cousin's wedding was taking place on the same day? I thought Kripa was getting ready for her own wedding which was right after her cousins.. wasn't it?
