sixth sense i guess
jalal does not want to marry beno but forced too
hence thinking of the day he agreed to marry jodha his love despite her 2 sharts
Or may be he somehow knows his death is near and person think their most happy moments at those times again 6th sense

he might be thinking that he married her forcefully...against her will and wish...
which is wrong according to law of mughals...no one is forced in to unwanted marraige...

but he married her and expecting her to love him which is also wrong...he thinks of the fact that she hates him,...but his heart is aching to see the rejection of her

I think he thinks the difference in his emotions then and now, then, though he just wanted to own Jodha, and didn't love her, though he knew she didn't want to marry him, he had agreed to her conditions happily, though these were unheard of in those times, letting her remain Hindu, and give her the rights to worship her god, and was more than happy to accept them, but now, this was before Ben mentioned her wish, though the girl is willing to marry him without any conditions, he isn't happy.
He's just wondering about the difference in his emotions then and now.

Good, his pendulum mind didn't stop at "the shove."

Though this is remotely possible as Jalal brains are on a sabbatical but the reason may be
JO got married to him under pressure , now he is marrying BEN under pressure ... Hopefully he may understand that just because they are married they can't be in love nor can marriage be the reason for complete submission to your partner ...

But on a serious note those scenes may have just been a filler

he was thinking that how much he did for her...he granted all her conditions and never restrained her doing anything...still why cant she love him like he does...? why cant she consider him as her husband from heart n soul ? why cant she feel his pain ?
Lashy explained it fantastically...copying her post😊

Jalal's expressions when brushing off Atgah's 'What's been eating you lately' is praiseworthy
Him sitting by the fire - recollecting the two vachans he'd granted her, while the chilly winds of Agra felt chillier - was a beautiful scene. 👏
The defeated expressions he had on his face for those 5 seconds held so much of significance - and this is what I read them as -

'Why has it never been enough' he thinks to himself as he sits down 'Why has whatever I've done for her never been sufficient...why can't she feel for me the way I for her...and when I know that she doesn't then why does my heart ache so much...I am thoroughly unconvinced about this wedding and agreed to it purely to rile her... why am I acting so irrationally and when I know I am, I don't want to stop it...what is this power that she holds over me...what IS this pain I feel - a pain that any amount of humiliation I give her does not seem to diminish...if anything, it only torments me more!'
