Truly disappointed with this serial

This topic may be very controversial, but I have to say this.

When this serial first started, I quickly became a fan of this show for a couple reasons: the intelligence of the female lead, the cute storyline, and the chemistry of the lead couple. I was very impressed with how Pakhi was an intelligent, and traditional yet modern woman of today.

However, over the past 2 months this serial has descended into pure chaos.

1) The storyline has become stale and repetitive. The pattern seems to be: Anshuman silently broods and comes up with plans to send Pakhi back to the village, he implements the plan, Pakhi doesn't fall victim to his plan, and then Pakhi-Anshuman share an eyelock. This was cute initially, but come on! I can't keep watching the same snoozefest every day!

2) Pakhi has gone from being a smart and savvy young woman into becoming a foolish lady who doesn't seem to have a good grasp on what's going on. Furthermore, her charachter seems to have no growth whatsoever. What happened to intelligent and charming Pakhi?

3) Ayaan is getting too much screen time. He was annoying in his old serial (Punaar Vivah) and he is annoying here too.

4) The creatives have butchered the storyline and the story has slowed down and isn't progressing. I remember hearing that Tumhari Pakhi is going to have a fixed amount of episodes - so then why is this storyline not moving along? I would love to see Pakhi smarten up and become a bit more independent, Anshuman start feeling jealousy, Anshuman start having feelings for Pakhi, etc. One of my favourite scenes was when money fell under the bed, and Anshuman couldn't stop looking at Pakhi's waist. That was cute! Where has the cuteness gone?

5) The only storyline that seems to be evolving is between Girish and Lavanya. Anshuman's character seems to be stuck in the same mind-frame as when the serial first started. Anshuman is supposed to be a smart and savvy businesman, then why can't his thought process actually seem intelligent? He seems to be doing very little - besides coming up with the same lame plan and thoughts (about wanting Pakhi to leave) every episode.

6) Initially, I was waiting for new episodes of this serial every day. For the past couple of weeks, I've been forwarding through most of the episodes because of the same boring storyline.

7) Don't believe me? Look around at this forum. In the initial 2 months that this serial began, the Tumhari Pakhi forum was pretty popular on IF. Over the past couple of months, this serial has fallen and continues to plummet. It is at rank 22 right now - I remember that there was a time when this serial was ranked 14 or something like that.

8) I am glad that Tanya has made her entry and today's episode was much better.

9) The creatives need to seriously pick up the storyline. They have a beautiful lead couple, a nice set, and talented actors to work with. Can they please just add some depth/creativity/passion/interest into this storyline?!!?

P.S. I would love your opinions on this topic - in fact, I welcome them! However, can people please not just say "if you don't like it, then stop watching". LOL. I would appreciate some genuine discussion, and I hope people don't take this post too personally.

its given me a lot of light hearty laughs from the silly goof ups of anshuman, ayaan is a brat but not annoying and enjoy pakhi perfectness even the storyline of lavanya and girish wanna see how it pans out to be honest i took off the break from posting of this forum..is just one episode either anshuman yells at pakhi or doesnt have him getting mushy lovey with pakhi we deem the serial as going downhill just find too much negativity in the forum..we all seem to want love dovey mushey looong staring scenes i am enjoying tumhari paakhi a lot loving how iqbal is playing anshuman he make this character so much entertaining from loving to hating him, the silly dialogues esp the banter between anshuman and pakhi is really entertaining it seems like a game of ping pong and shradha is also playing pakhi really well though I find her job easier then iqbal's its tougher to make people hate you

I am enjoying tanya there is a light take to everything even when lavanya and girish with the infidelity there was a clean elegant scene between them

Tumhari Pakhi is not over dramatised and that makes it fun to watch each scene be it anshuman scheming with tanya or pakhi schemeing for ayaan there is so much going on expression wise dialogue wise its awesome...

anyways I am enjoying tumhari pakhi and loving this duo it feels like watching a tennis match between these too but lets be patient and see how the story is told is that part of the story when you want to skip pages but I want to read it all

I agree. TP had such a promising start. Somewhere deep down I still have faith that TP will be back on track. But episodes like today are truly disappointing. From day one, all that I have seen is scheming, scheming and only scheming. Don't we already have hundreds of shows on tv for this??? They have such a wonderful star cast, directors, writers then why are we heading towards such a repetitive storyline. It has become a dragathon now! They have shown too much of negativity & just one single positive character who is now being insulted every single episode. I won't stop watching but I have now lost interest in looking forward to any of the episodes. Hope the cvs prove me wrong. But the way they are dragging the story, they will be only losing loyal viewers.

1. I agree with the similar storyline but I guess it was necessary to show it because they wanted to prove that Anshuman dont want Paakhi in his life. However, Paakhi's impact is gradually covering Anshuman like he puts Vermillion on her forehead daily and that too with a smile on his face.

2. I agree with that as well. Paakhi could have identified that there are things which are not going smooth around her and my opinion is same Like it was in my earlier post.

3. I respect your views but I sincerely Disagree with you on Ayaan's screen space. Constructive critisism is fine but telling that the kid was annoying in his past show is just wrong. Ayaan is getting screen space because they want to show that Paakhi can become a Good mother as well. So I would like to request you to not disrespect a character and do not compare it with artist's previous works/shows.

4. I guess , at present they are focusing on Triangle between Tanya-Anshuman-Paakhi and how Tanya force Anshuman about her thoughts.

5. Lavanya and Girish's track is interesting. They can show shades in that track.
However I disagree with Anshuman's character. His character is progressed so much. He sometimes care for Paakhi but agree that he is a confused soul and he will realise one day about his mistakes.

6. , 7. and 8. Well, activity depends on various factors but We cant say that storyline was the reason. Agreed that if they would have shown some Love then forum can be more active but I'm sure, at the coming episodes, they will show us Anshuman changing.

9. Tanya is there for progressing the story.

I respect your views and Nice post except the 3rd point. :)

I disagree. This storyline has a lot of depth and is being explored to its maximum potential. Anshuman cannot fall in love with Paakhi in a few days, that would be unrealistic. This is not the kind of serial where you will see "masala" where the leads fall in love and have romantic scenes every single day. This show is very realistic, and this is specifically the reason I like it. In real life, things like this happen with time.

Paakhi is just as smart as she was in the beginning of the show - she has not done anything "stupid". Divyam is doing a fabulous job as Ayaan, and he was also incredible in Punar Vivah, and you have to remember that he is a small child, and even in his age he is performing really well. That's why the PH brought him back with this show.

I-F ranking says nothing about how good a serial is. According to I-F ranking, shows with leads who catered to the "youth" audience once have their shows rule I-F. Does that mean those stories have depth?

There is lots of depth/creativity/passion/interest in the storyline. This kind of show is not for everyone. If people are looking for a show with spice and drama, there are lots of other options. This is a very beautifully crafted storyline which focuses on many emotions. This is precisely why I love this show.

what is really annoying is anshuman and tanya using a child for their selfish purpose, not fighting the battles directly
anshuman can tell pakhi upfront how he feel s about her a direct discussion
pakhi has a right to know where she stands
but she is very strong she does not need anyone's approval

i so agree with you! 😃 this is the only show which has not lost its zeal .. and IF ranking hardly has anything to do with quality ..
