Part 27

A few days passed by with peace.One day,Arnav took Khushi and Sneha to a park.They had lots of fun and a wonderful picnic.But things had taken a drastic turn when Khushi had gone missing.Khushi had seen something move in the bushes a couple meters away from them.Arnav volunteered to check but Khushi told him to stay with Sneha.It had been an hour since she's been missing and Arnav didn't know what to do.Sneha had also began crying.Arnav's phone rang and he picked it up "Hello"

"Arnav" sobbed Khushi.

Arnav cut the call.He finally managed to hush Sneha and took her with him to the car.He raced to the address he had been not too long ago.He slammed open the door and saw Panther.

Panther was taking out his gun when he heard the door slam open "What the?" He swore under his breath "How the hell did you know we were here?"

"Phone's a common device" Arnav said firmly.

Panther clenched his jaw and narrowed his eyes when he saw Sneha in a cradle held by Arnav "You brought the brat" he accused.

Panther rolled his eyes "Whatever"

"Tell me Panther" Arnav said angrily.

"I am not done with her" Panther claimed.

"She's mine" Arnav growled.

Arnav was shocked "What?Why?"

"Because she is the heiress to billions" he said casually.

"What are you talking about" Arnav asked,confused.

"Just tell me where Khushi is" Arnav said.

Arnav grew angry and lunged at Panther.They fought.They rolled.Fists connected with each other's faces and body.They grew angrier and angrier.Panther took out his pocket-knife and aimed it for Arnav.But it never touched him.Arnav closed his eyes fearing it was his end but opened them when he felt nothing.There was blood but not his.Arnav pushed Panther off him and stood up.He looked around and saw Khushi frozen.He looked down and saw a gun in her hands "Khushi" he whispered,slightly confused.He walked up to her and took the gun from her grip.He threw it away.He held her shoulder "Khushi"

"I-I k-k-killed h-h-im" stammered Khushi,shocked "D-Does t-his m-me-an I am a m-murderer?"

"No Khushi" Arnav assured.He took her in his embrace "Whatever you did was self defense...well actually my defense"

"Khushi don't worry..come" Arnav led Khushi away from Panther's dead body and picked Sneha's cradle "Here's Sneha"

That made no effect.Her eyes were still glued to Panther.Arnav picked Sneha from her cradle and held her near Khushi.Sneha cried out loud to grab Khushi's attention and it worked "Sneha" Khushi took Sneha in her embrace and hugged her "Oh I missed you so much" Khushi kissed Sneha's cheeks.

Somehow Arnav managed to drag Khushi away from the scene without letting her look back.When they had reached home,he had sent the girls to their room to get some rest.Arnav had called the police and made up a story about Panther dying.He was surely not going to tell them Khushi killed him.Once he was done with the call,he relaxed.Panther was dead,for real.He would never be coming back and it was the end.Arnav sighed.Now he and his family could have some real family bonding time...
