Totally agree with you, I'd love to see his character become a friend and support to her - just because it's a guy and a girl of the same age, doesn't have to mean they fall in love.
Perhaps during their interactions he might be smitten by her, but there's no doubt when he sees the kind of love AP share he'd be driven to help them too.

Then she walks off and Dr jee absentmindedly comments on where does she get all this josh to keep ladaing. Abhay starts laughing at the comment and he looks on confused, and Abhay tells him,"Shukar guzar hain ki woh sirf ladai karke chali gaye, hamare biwi koi sidhi sadhi ladki nahin, dacoit hain dacoit." Then Arjun looks on horrified/mortified at the comment and Abhay, taking the opportunity decides to horrify him further, "Policewale hoon main, ghar mein ladai toh banduk se hi chalti hain. Iss halat mein hoon issiliye Phulwa bhi bohot dino se kisike saath ladai nahin kya. Aur ha, aap thoda hoshiyar rehiya, if you cross the limit, kaun jane aapka bhi haal meri taraf ho jaye."🤣🤣
I really really want to see all 3 of them share a good relationship with one another, in any case Abhay and the doctor will have to maintain a good relationship for him to recover and with Phulwa's help it'd be even better. Trust is key in any relationship, and if they can build that trust up it would really be useful for both of them.
