Vikram Singh takes Laxmi's son and goes to meet the villagers. Jwala Thakur and Saroj too had accompanied the villagers. Vikram Singh informs Jwala Thakur and the others that Laxmi has delivered a baby boy. Jwala Thakur mockingly states that Vikram Singh was in need of money and hence allowed a Bedni to deliver her child in the mansion. Vikram Singh replies that he would never understand the meaning of helping a person in need. He reminds that the panchayat had announced that Sugni's family would not perform raai in a Thakur's mansion. Vikram Singh adds that he had called the family to his mansion as he wanted to help them. Jwala Thakur gets furious when Vikram Singh states that he was venting out his personal rivalry against the decision, which he had taken regarding Sugni's family. Vikram Singh orders Jwala Thakur to lower his voice. He asserts that Jwala Thakur was standing in his mansion and not in the panchayat. Before leaving, Jwala Thakur threatens Vikram Singh that he would face the consequences. Aditya packs his luggage and is about to leave from the mansion. Vikram Singh realizes that Aditya was upset as Sugni's family was in the mansion. He tries his best to calm down Aditya's anger. Sugni overhears the discussion and convinces her family to leave the mansion. Vikram Singh asks Aditya to wait for the ghar pravesh puja as his mother too would attend it. At that moment, Sugni and her family thank Vikram Singh for helping them out in their hour of plight. Amrita states that Laxmi's condition was not yet stabilized and so they must wait for some more time. Laxmi replies that she does not want to create a rift between Vikram Singh and Aditya and so she and her family have to leave. Vikram Singh tries his best to stop Aditya from leaving. Dai Ma intervenes and asks Rathu to drop Sugni and her family back home. Even after reaching home, Kathari refuses to accept his son. He shares his irritation with the family on the birth of his son. Laxmi, however, convinces Kathari to accept the child. Lagariya states that after many days her family was happy. Sugni states that Vikram Singh gave them a reason to celebrate. She believes that Goddess Sita had sent Vikram Singh for their help. In the middle of the night, Sugni goes to thank Vikram Singh for his assistance. At that moment, it begins to shower; Sugni believes Goddess Sita too agrees with her that Vikram Singh was a ray of hope in their lives.

For the sake of her family's future, Gulabiya goes along with Hukum and Lagariya to Haldi Singh's house. Hukum tries to make Gulabiya realize that she was lucky to have her sardhakai despite of being in her middle age. Haldi Singh enters the room along with Saroj. Gulabiya, Hukum and Lagariya immediately remove their slippers and hold them in their hands as they see Haldi Singh and Saroj entering the room. Haldi Singh gets mesmerized to see Gulabiya's beauty and goes near her. He throws the slippers, which Gulabiya was holding in her hands and begins to flirt with her. Aditya's mother arrives at Vikram Singh's mansion for the ghar pravesh puja. Kuhu states that she took care of all the arrangements which Vikram Singh had assigned her. Vikram Singh tells Aditya's mother that he had difficulties in taking care of the arrangements. Aditya's mother replies that it was not Vikram Singh's duty to take care of the responsibilities. The moment Aditya's mother mentions that if Vikram Singh's wife was present, she would take charge of the responsibilities. Vikram Singh politely asks her not to bring up the topic. Their conversation gets intervened when the pundit asks the family to assemble for the puja. Haldi Singh tells Gulabiya that his behavior changes after he consumes alcohol at night. Saroj states that after a tiring day it was fine, if he consumed alcohol. She tells Gulabiya that she must bear what ever happens with her and Haldi Singh in the bed room. Hukum and Lagariya get elated when Saroj states that her family would get an amount of Rs 75,000 after her sardhakai. Saroj adds that Gulabiya must not entertain any other Thakur after her sardhakai or else she would have to return the amount with interest. On returning to her mansion, Jwala Thakur questions Saroj where she had been. Saroj lies to Jwala Thakur that she had been to Sunanda's mansion. Jwala Thakur angrily states that he had seen her with Haldi Singh. Saroj states that if Jwala Thakur could hide things from him, she too can do the needful. Jwala Thakur compels Saroj to tell the truth. Saroj reveals that she had organized Gulabiya's sardhakai. She adds that Haldi Singh would perform it. Saroj mockingly states that Jwala Thakur was earlier insulted by Vikram Singh. She adds that Jwala Thakur would get insulted if he begged Haldi Singh not to conduct Gulabiya's sardhakai. Laxmi and Kathari feel unhappy as they had not informed Sugni about Gulabiya's sardhakai. Gulabiya states that if Sugni comes to know about her sardhakai, she would never allow it to happen. Hukum decides to inform Sugni about Gulabiya's sardhakai. Out of concern, Kathari enquires with Gulabiya about Haldi Singh's nature. Gulabiya does not reply.

Hukum asks Kathari not to get worried about Gulabiya as she was not going to marry Haldi Singh. He praises Haldi Singh and states that he would definitely fulfill the responsibilities which he has taken. Gulabiya ignores Hukum's statement and states that they must leave before Sugni comes home. Sugni gets surprised when Jwala Thakur tells her that he was waiting to meet her. She believes that Jwala Thakur wanted to further punish her for breaking the rules. Sugni states that her family has been living in poverty after Jwala Thakur announced the punishment at the panchayat. Sugni express the pain and plight which Gulabiya has been suffering throughout her life. Sugni gets surprised when Jwala Thakur addresses her as his daughter. She states that he does not want to see her suffering. He adds that he had come to help her as he knows that she was in need of his help. Sugni gets apprehensive when she learns from Jwala Thakur that Hukum and Kathari were conducting Gulabiya's sardhakai. He asks Sugni to go and stop the sardhakai. Sugni rushes home and starts looking for Gulabiya in the house. Tinkle informs Sugni that everyone had gone out of the house. She adds that when she enquired with them where they were going, they asked her to stop questioning. Laxmi signals Tinkle not to inform Sugni where the family had gone. Sugni compels Tinkle to tell her the truth. Saroj had organized a car wherein the driver would get Gulabiya and her brothers to a certain place to carry out the sardhakai. Haldi Singh gets impatient as Gulabiya had not yet arrived. He fears that Gulabiya must have backed out. Saroj assures him that Gulabiya would not back out. At that moment, Gulabiya along with Kathari, Hukum and Lagariya arrive at the mansion. Haldi Singh demands to see Gulabiya's face which is covered in a veil before they carry out the sardhakai. Kathari states that after the sardhakai, Gulabiya would belong to him. Saroj mockingly states that they must show Gulabiya's face. Haldi Singh goes next to Gulabiya and states that he cannot wait any longer for the ceremony to begin. The ceremony commences. Haldi Singh is about to put the chunari on Gulabiya's head, when she utters Sugni's name. Hukum asks Gulabiya to dream about Haldi Singh as he who would change her fate and not Sugni. The story takes an interesting turn when Sugni arrives at the venue just when Haldi Singh is about to put the chunari on Gulabiya's head. Everyone present at the ceremony is left shocked to see Sugni.

A furious Sugni asserts that she would not allow them to conduct Gulabiya's sardhakai. Saroj believes Sugni always foiled her plans. Hukum assures Saroj that he would take care of Sugni. Even before Hukum could utter a word, Sugni warns him to be away from the matter or she would not spare him. She asserts that the matter was about her mother and Hukum had no right to speak in between. Hukum states that he was Gulabiya's brother and he had the right to speak. In anger, Sugni asserts that Hukum never fulfilled his responsibilities towards Gulabiya. She states that he was using Gulabiya as he wanted to live a lavish and carefree life. She adds that he could not sell Gulabiya. Hukum warns Sugni not to speak in between the elders. Sugni replies that Gulabiya was the eldest family member of the house and Hukum had no right to take decisions for her. Sugni threatens to kill Hukum if he tried to sell Gulabiya. Saroj mockingly states that it was no use saving Gulabiya as she was already sold once. In anger, Saroj tries to slap Sugni. Sugni holds Saroj's hand much to everyone's shock. Hukum believes that Sugni had invited more trouble for them. Sugni asserts that by selling Gulabiya, Saroj would not be able to win Jwala Thakur's love. She states that she was not worthy to receive anyone's love. In anger, Saroj orders Kathari and Hukum to throw Sugni out of the venue. Lagariya holds Gulabiya. At that time, Jwala Thakur arrives at the venue. Hukum explains to Jwala Thakur that since Gulabiya was no longer his Bedni, he thought of conducting her sardhakai. Jwala Thakur replies that sardhakai could be conducted only with the consent of every family member. He states that Sugni was not in favor of the sardhakai. Hukum tells Jwala Thakur that he must not believe Sugni. He adds that he had earlier punished Sugni in the panchayat. Jwala Thakur ignores Hukum's statement and states that if he does not stop the sardhakai, he would face severe consequences. Haldi Singh gets scared and leaves from the venue. Sugni and Gulabiya decide to thank Jwala Thakur. Before getting in to the car, Jwala Thakur mocks Saroj on the failure of her plan. He reveals that he tricked Sugni and convinced her to stop the sardhakai. Sugni overhears their conversation and states that she was hurt. She states that it was a good thing that she finally realized that the truth of all her relations. She states that she was only concerned about Gulabiya. She asks Gulabiya to leave along with her. On their way back home, Sugni tells Gulabiya that they must go ahead and live their new life.

The duo decides to leave from Mahuari village and plan to settle in Delhi. Before leaving, Sugni writes a letter to Vikram Singh. After accomplishing the puja, Amrita asks Aditya why he drowned the puja items in the river. Aditya replies that it was as per his mother's wish. A servant hands over Sugni's letter to Aditya. The letter reads that Sugni was leaving from the village and wanted to thank Vikram Singh for helping her out during her difficult times. On receiving the letter, Vikram Singh rushes to stop Sugni. While traveling in a bus, the bus conductor learns that Sugni and Gulabiya did not have money to purchase a ticket. The conductor decides to stop the bus and throw the duo out. Sugni begs the conductor not to throw her and Gulabiya out. Sugni is about to fall when the conductor pushes her. Vikram Singh saves Sugni from falling. Surprised, Sugni asks Vikram Singh what he was doing there. An irritated Vikram Singh replies that he wanted to stop her from leaving and so he traveled all the way from Mahuari village. He tells her that he kept looking for her in every bus which he came across in his way. Sugni and Gulabiya get stunned when Vikram Singh reveals that he was in love with Sugni. Vikram Singh tells Sugni that he wanted to talk to her in private. Gulabiya quietly moves from the spot. Vikram Singh tells Sugni that when he was living in the city, he had everything what he wanted. However, he felt that something was missing in his life. Sugni gets surprised when Vikram Singh states that 'she' was missing from his life.
