When Sugni first went back downstairs she was angry with Sugni and also hurt.

Her Sugni said "she was TJS's bedni nothing else while she was TVS's wife".

But as she thinks back and realises sugni is right. She remembers TJS seeing her at her very first Rai. He was mesmerized and he performed her Sardhakai immediately. During the time they spent together he was nice to her but there was always a physical relationship. He always came to her and on the rare occasion she went to him, she always sneaked in via the back door. He gave her money and odd gift or two but he never acknowledged in public. When he got married she had convinced herself that he had no choice, he could not go against his family but in reality Sugni was right "she was Bedni to be enjoyed not someone to love and certainly not marry". Even when he performed the Sardhakais of other Bednis initially she made excuses until one day she finally accepted that he did not love her. That day something inside her died and she stopped trusting anyone.

She thinks back ' Sugni telling her about how she had mistaken TVS for someone else and dumped him from her rickshaw half way, how had he praised her instead of getting angry, had paid her for the ride, how he had taken G to hospital in his Jeep, had told off the hospital porter for trying fleece Sugni and stayed until he was sure G was OK, how had smartly saved Sugni after her first Rai, how he had spoken up for Sugni at the mela and Panchayat and gone against one and all to send food and then take Laxmi to have the baby at the havali and defending her family in front of TJS, stand upto his sister for Sugni, announcing in front all that he wanted to marry Sugni. She remembers saying that if "bhagwan had done what he has done you would light a diya but when a human being does something like that she did not know what to do but to say thank you."

She shakes her head realising that Sugni is right everything TVS did since the day he arrived in Sugni's life has always been to Sugni's benefit. But because of what happened to her she mistrusted his every action and challenged Sugni and when she found out about Reva Thakurian it was like she had been proved right and the more he tried to hide Reva and still marry sugni the more it proved to her that he could not be trusted.

G realises that her dislike of TVS started when he told Sugni he loved her and Sugni said she loved him because she knew she would lose Sugni, The one thing that made her life worth living was being taken away from her. That dislike turn to hatred when she found out about Reva and when he still refused to let Sugni go something inside her broke and she wanted to punish him/make him suffer (for the pain and suffering she had endured in her life).

Looking back she realises he is very different from other men, no man would have endured and tolerated what he did, but he did because he loved Sugni and wanted to be with her and only her and today badi Thakurian has accepted their relationship and trusts Sugni and has given her ghar ki chabia. She can hear Sugni saying "she married him because she knows that no matter what happens in our lives he will always be by my side" and G knows its true.

And in that instant she realises how unfair she has been to both TVS and Sugni. She had no business punishing him for other men's crimes and she had no right to be envious of what Sugni has.

OMG what kind of Mother is jealous of what her daughter has? and that daughter is still trying to keep their relationship.

She knew as soon as she saw Sugni on her return that she was happy and should have been happy for her but she is a bad mother and tried to cause problems.

She sits there tears rolling down her eyes regreating her mistakes and wishing that she did not have to go away after she had made her apologies to all.
