Amma - a contradiction

You know for a show that is written by women its never ceases to amaze me that the female characters are the most confused and contradictory.

Great points Payal I to noticed her two facedness. Maybe at some level she cares about her ...like she cares for the other girls to...remember once when Ka i was being forced by the man, she told both of them to becarful of these men as they are unpredictable. I guess being in her position she has seen all the monsterous sides that these men have.
However no doubt she was using Chubuli as a cash cow. .. to milk Divakar... I always though it was because she thought he was easily manipulated, but then this week I herd her say that he only looks human but is a monster...why would she put Chulbuli in that situation if she know the man can't be played with?
I am assuming the Man in black had sent her to get Chubuli from the Doctors, going with his story. And the Man in black gave her (chubuli) in Amma's care. lol That too kind of makes no sense becasue in that case Chulguli should not even be dancing as she is not in the "trade"

Yes it is very clear that some how Amma is attached to Sugni/Chulbuli to a great extent. I think she is treating Chulbuli as someone's amanat and being paid by Mr.Black for taking care of her yet following his instructions of keeping Chulbuli drugged not to remember any of her past. This happens only in case if Sugni remembers her past then that could be danger for Mr. Black or the particular person who tried to kill her. And he brought her to this khotha so that even if she regain her memory she may not be able to come back to the haveli.
