A Trace of Sunshine
Preface:
"Meher!" Abeer called her name out, for the umpteenth time in last twenty minutes only to get that very same response from the other side of the wash room door: "Five more minutes." He was annoyed to the hell on listening this again and again. He doesn't understand how many five more minutes will she says to him.
"Meher! If you don't come out right now, I will break this door I swear!" he almost shouted but got the now roaring loud sound of the shower as a response. If he is stubborn then she is no less. After all she is Meher Abeer Malhotra now; her new identity!
Abeer wallowed into self-pity as he recalled all the things happening in his life-- It's been a seven damnable days since he got married with his Meher but staying away from her. He was literally counting the time in split nanoseconds in all those days and today when finally he thought his wait is over, his Dad send him out of the city to sign a deal. Abeer felt strange; It was like as if everything in this universe is trying to distance him from his wife.
But then again, he battled out everything, by successfully completing that Tayiji's seven days and by signing that freaking deal which is most important thing to his dad. And then came back to home in a record breaking time, traveling all the way. But his wait is not ended, not yet. He least expected that this time it's going to be his wife, his Meher, who becomes a villain in his life; Kabhi kabhi biwi hi ban jati hai apni love story ki villain!
At first, Meher convinced him that he has to wait until night. And after some unendurable hours, when finally the Sun waved a good bye and gifted a much awaited night for Abeer; Damn it! He doesn't even want to recall what happened in their bed room some time back: She made him chase her all around their bed room throwing a pillow at his face, and what not? well their bed room became a mess in that process. On top of all this, while running away from him she blatantly challenged his ego by giving that look catch me if you can!; It instigated him to run fast behind her and even he almost caught her, but just in a few seconds she slipped out of his hold and ducked into their wash room saying that she needs to shower. And then, she shut the door on his face, not before showing a thumb down and throwing a victorious grin at him. And after that its been since some eternal moments that she is being in that washroom taking her sweet time to shower not giving a damn to her husband's screams. This little game, Meher is playing with Abeer is getting on his nerves now.
After strolling around their bed room aimlessly for some time, Abeer dragged his feet towards the bed before flung on it, laying flat on his stomach burying his face in the pillow, he whispered her name in a muffled tone. His exhausted body owing to the jet lag is now giving a cue to his eyes to close and to sleep, but he with all superhuman effort kept his eyes wide open, awaiting her.
Just to keep awake himself Abeer started to rewind all those days in their college when he struggled to make her understand how much he loves her, after that how things started to happen so quickly. And ever since Abeer felt his feelings for Meher reciprocated, he started to feel some strange mix of emotions which were unfathomable yet all those emotions started to mean that everything in him wants everything in her!.. and he doesn't even know when exactly this want transpired into a rudimentary need that it is always making him restless for her --

A/N: So, what do you guys think? shall I continue this or not? Em.. I'm not so sure of writing this OS. That's the reason why I posted this preface, so that I can know whether anyone out there interested to read more or not. I guess you already got it what you're going to read. And let me tell you one thing If I write more and publish it here, I'm not going to put any warning to limit it to certain age group but I'll leave it to your conscience to decide yourself that if you can handle it ..what people call it as.. ha.. yeah ..mature content, but then again let me tell you one more thing that I don't write in a way which can make you feel uncomfortable to read. Rest is assured!
