The Task
So here is what I have in plan for all you lovely writers that have signed up.
Every month, one person will be selected to be placed on the "Hot Seat". While you are chosen, you will be given a series of questions that have been posed to you by your fellow forum members. All you have to do is answer these questions.
There will be two formats for the questions: Formal and Informal.
Formal Questions: These will consist of questions that are related to your work (i.e. your writing). It can be about a particular piece that you have written or are working on. It can be about your editing process, where you get your ideas, who your inspiration is etc.
Informal Questions: These questions will be comprised of anything else that is not related to your writing. It can be personal, your opinions on the show, a topic outside of BD, your favorite, color, movie etc.
There will be no limit as to how many questions will be asked nor any limit on how long the answers should be. That is entirely up to you.
Apart from the questions being asked, you will be awarded with a piece of writing of your choice. After all this is an avenue where the writers are being celebrated, showcased and encouraged to achieve further success.
The writer on the "Hot Seat" may choose a genre, a pairing etc. completely of their choice. If they wish, they may also choose a specific person to receive their writing from. The only restriction is the word limit which has been decided to remain at 1, 000 words.
The first week of the month is when the person who will get to be on the "Hot Seat" will be decided. All questions are also to be submitted during that week. The following three weeks is when the writer being showcased will be announced and they will answer all the questions asked. After these three weeks are up, the selection process will begin again.
During the selection process, I will contact the writers and see if they are available. If not, then the next most voted writer will be chosen.
As the list grows, it will be expected for all writers to be given a chance to sit on the "Hot Seat". Hence, be fair in your voting. However, if by popular vote the same writer is chosen, they will be showcased again.
