Cricket has always been considered a religion in India and when mixed with high dose of glamour and drama, it serves as the ultimate form of entertainment..!! Delhi Dragons team was launched today at a press conference at Radisson Blu Hotel, Sector -13, Plot No. 14, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110075 to kickstart its campaign as they are participating in Sony Entertainment Television Box Cricket League.BCL is a unique fusion of Celebrities, Entertainment & Cricket with more than 150 Celebrities, Drama & Some Out of the Box Rules. This unique format has been conceptualized by Marinating Films and produced by Balaji Telefilms; Season 1 of this championship will be telecasted on Sony Entertainment Television soon. There are 8 teams participating & competing against each other namely Pune Anmol Ratn, Delhi Dragons, Mumbai Warriors, Jaipur Raj Joshiley, Chandigarh Cubs, Ahmedabad Express, Rowdy Banglore and Kolkata Baabu Moshayes.

On the launch of Delhi Dragons, Mr. Ashwani Sharma, Owner of Delhi Dragons Team said, "We are very happy to be associated with Balaji Telefilms and Marinating films for a unique concept like the Box Cricket League. This is 4 weeks of differentiated offering which will provide alternative content to viewers' .We have a strong team and I hope that they will provide good entertainment to the viewers by winning the league."

Delhi Dragon consist of 22 popular TV Celebrities namely Ekta Kaul, Kishwer Merchant, Asha Negi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Vishal Kotian, Durgesh Nagar, Suyyash Rai (Captain), Ashish Sharma, Vishal Singh, Sukhwinder Bawa, Azim Sehban, Gurmeet Chaddha, Aadesh Choudhary, Rubina Dilaika, Abhijeet Sawant, Nia Sharma and Priyanka Talukdar.

BCL will change the way people look at the game of cricket. The introduction of new twists in the game is sure to keep the audience entertained and also the spirit of cricket intact. To step up the excitement, this season will be played for 10 overs with soft smiley balls. During the 6th & 10th overs, the batting captain will challenge the bowling captain to hit a certain number of runs in a single over with a particular bowler. If they manage to hit the number of runs they have challenged them for, then they earn double the runs. If not, they will lose the number of runs they challenged the bowling team. The 7th over will also see a ball change procedure where the players can strategize their next game plan.
