Time long overdue for new dynamite,roaring , I am a champion her

Enough of the run of the mill, weeping, moping, pitiful,sacrificing, heroines shown in almost every show.

Ekta's heroines are outdated, boring and how I wish we got some new blood in the category of writers & heroines.

In the words of Katy Perry's song, I am dying for a roaring, kick-ass heroine that will never ask for your pity, in fact it would be an insult if you were to feel sorry for her. I am not talking about an invincible, superwoman, but rather a woman that fights to overcome her weakness and has enough self-respect and a healthy esteem to know that becoming a martyr is not success. She would never stand for abuse, humiliation and become a door-mat or be cast in a role to fix the broken men (including your father,brother,or husband) that you happen to come across. She isn't necessarily a breath taking beauty, but she is definitely striking. She has taken the time to learn martial arts or other fighting techniques and is most definitely someone that can win a physical fight. She may be small in stature but she is big on fighting for justice and would never allow others to demean her but rather will take the fight to the wrong-doers. She is never passive, she is pro-active and very clever. She will never lie down in fear or defeat because that would be a fate worse than death. She will enter all battle with unfailing confidence and even if she falters in life, she has enough conviction and belief to rise and fight again. She has a very dry sense of humor and is a risk taker. She is witty and never short on retorts and comebacks.

She does have vulnerabilities especially when she is in love and her soul mate is either torn for her or she cannot be with him due to societal rules/limitations. She will find a way to get her love by rebelling with the entire world if necessary but she will not conform to rules that prevent her from uniting with her soul mate. That journey will astonish her too, as she never thought she would have such passion and purpose.

This new heroine is a role model for people of any age, culture and is timeless. She could have travelled to any planet in the galaxy and would still remain unchanged in the essentials. We would celebrate her ups and downs and never feel fed up her, or ask her stop her water works, because she would rarely cry. And when she does shed those tears, it would break our heart because we know that she was truly devastated to be crying. We would know that she will never roll over and die or sacrifice her love, life for so called man made rules/regulations.

Sure she will face many adversities and obstacles, but nothing can deter her from her journey to become stronger, lead by example, inspire and empower other females.

So who is with me on getting such a heroine?
