We didnt hide our realtionship from anyone..We have always been open about our relationship..even my friends knew abt this..and one of my friends told Star plus people about us and they offered us Nach Baliye..First we turned down their offer because we thot its very early as our relationship was new that time..after one and a half months they again offered us Nach..and we also were getting a chance to come on a reality show so we participated in Nach

You and Asha are participating in relaity show together..any special reason?

We knew it would have been difficult for her if she'd had participated in other reality show..Coz she hasnt participated in any reality show..She gives up easily..so this time when she gives up i'm there to hold her hand like always.Thats why we are doing this show..I participated in this show just for Asha..coz she was getting a chance to do a reality show

Who amongst both of you is a trained dancer?

RD-No one actually..we are not trained dancers..But I was passionate about dancing since childhood..Asha also likes to dance..She loves to dance in baraats, Ganpati festival and all, lol..
Asha-Yes I liked dancing but wasnt passionate like him..But yes after watching actresses dance on TV I used to dance like them in front of mirror

To Rithvik-Rep:Did you knew about it?

Rithvik-Yes..She used to steal her Mom and Di's makeup and Dupatta and used to apply make up after locking the door..
Then if someone knocked at the door, she'd wipe her make up with that dupatta and come out...lol..I know everything about her.

Asha - He was very fat...He'd go for swimming and after coming back from swimmming he and his friends used to steal ketchups from Mc Donalds
RD-actually we didn't steal ketchups..actually that time we didnt used to ask for money from home..so we'd to go in McD and say we want ketchup..and would eat that ketchups!

Who do you view as your biggest threat on NB6?

Are we going to war that there should be a threat? We are merely going to dance.

I am not scared.Rithvik is with me. And he has a lot of good ideas in addition to being entertaining ...so I'm not scared

Rithvik, you are a trained dancer and we have never seen Asha on stage before. Earlier too many couples have come to this stage and have been eliminated because of their partners. What is your view on this ?

I would like to say that I am not a dancer. People know that I dance well but I am not trained, only creative. We have done several award shows together. I know how to handle her and what to do. Sometimes she forgets and then I take her hand and get her to keep dancing. This is second nature now. I am pleasantly surprised on how hard she has been practising this past week, dancing well and she has not forgotten her moves at all.

Just like it is important to have understanding in a relationship it is important for dancers to have an understanding. So does developing understanding while dancing together make your relationship stronger?

Sure, dancing together is bringing a certain understanding to our relationship. We have always fought over dance ...what should happen, what shouldn't...what is right and what's wrong. If any couple says we don't fight, they're lying. One will keep fighting until one makes their partner the best they can be. Mostly we fight because Asha is a little lazy. She gives up easily and I say to her that she can be better than what she has performed and then we fight.

What would you like to say about Ekta Kapoor? What is her contribution to your career?

I feel that whatever I am today is because of Ekta Kapoor because if she wouldn't have given me work, I wouldn't be here. First Bandini, then PKEK and immediately after that PR. All my success today is due to PR. It is a huge risk for any producer to trust a newcomer who had just played a negative character, a murderer and then give him a positive role. To see that capability in an actor is a very big deal

Asha, how has Ekta Kapoor influenced your career?

It's the same with me. I did a 10 day long cameo first in the serial Sapnon se Bhare Naina. Then I was selected for Parichay but they wanted someone slightly plumper for the role. So later they selected someone else. Then I was selected to play Apeksha in BALH. Whilst I was doing this, they offered me the role of Purvi. At the time I wasn't even a good actor but Ekta ma'am saw Purvi in me and today Purvi is so famous and it makes me happy that people love us so much.

But, in the recent past, there has been much controversial news with respect to Ekta Kapoor. Your views?

Look, there is news and there are controversies. Looking at the history of television if movies are synonymous with YashRaj Films then television is synonymous with Ekta Kapoor. First their shows used to be imitated because they were liked and were hits. But imitation requires brains ( nakal ke liye akkal honi chahiye)
