This second leap, i started to watch again because the track seems interesting..and there is a new character, ankita.

But first of all the TM stated that this leap is boring, that Ankita's character seems way too close to Archana's character and i would totally agree. This is not at all a criticism of Ankita, either character or actor but rather a disappointment in not seeing a new story. By the way it's been written, I see her as the mother, not the sibling like someone said. Maybe she's a bit more spunky, but the basic storyline is pretty darn close to the first one.

I think the difference may be that most of the people who love this leap and love the Ankita with her siblings story, are really followers of Ankita Lokhande...so whatever role/character she plays, it will be loved. And that's cool. I too love Anki but I'm not fan in the same way...but because i have great respect and love for her is why i would have wished to see her in a different story.

For others of us, we were followers of PR, and the characters within it. I have been here from close to the beginning & I love Archana (the reason i watched) and always felt so bad when she was the object of so much unfair criticism and that everything in the world was her fault. Now that title has been passed to Purvi. One of the main reasons I started being interested in the Arvi story, was that i was so appalled at the things constantly hurled at Purvi, totally unfair and rude language, worse even that it used to be towards Archu. So, because I hate unjust criticism, I began to defend her. Now I really like Purvi a lot, though i get frustrate with her sometimes, and I loved very much the ARVI jodi.

I have been thinking, at least now, Archana is being loved and respected, and i have not seen one single post, not one, that has criticized the new Ankita. People have thought Anki looks great, fun to see her young, but some wishing that it could have been a new type of story, just like the TM suggests. How on earth this can be construed as bashing Archana or Ankita is beyond me.

I totally agree with the topic maker. In my opinion, it would have been better to start a new story.

As to the leaps, both leaps are dreadful. Twenty year leaps have no place in soaps like this, imo. But at least in the first leap, we were given a lot of the picture. Not everything, but we knew more BEFORE the leap and most things were explained. A few characters disappeared without explanation, but the lead characters for the most part were still on the screen and intact. Ajit had disappeared long before the leap...had gone back to his terrible ways, had not been reformed for a long long time, and Vandita as well was scarcely on the scene before the leap. Dharmesh and his family, (the only place he was good was to his son) were more important ones that should have been developed ..but they were supporting actors, not co-leads.

By the time the 2nd leap came about, whether one likes Arvi or not, the CVs had made them definitely co-leads, and both Purvi and Ovi are daughters of the D family ..so these are main characters, even if one doesn't like the term co-leads. Ekta not only left many unanswered questions, she changed the personalities of many people, just to try to effect a leap. A very definite no no in writing. Soham, Purvi, Arjun, all became different people, not just different circumstances. And others as well. No one changed their personality in the first leap which made it much easier to follow.

This new one is so poorly written, very confusing as there is no continuity. In the first leap, there was continuity even if missing pieces.

Really, Ekta goes down in my book as one of the poorest writers of all time if this is her style. Foolishness, sloppiness, bad story lines. The reason people do watch her though, is that she is a master at choosing dynamic actors, recognizes great chemistry between people, (not just lovers)...and people are drawn to her shows. Why then, why then, does she destroy everything she has created. Thats' a very serious issue...but not a discussion for the forum.

Sorry for such a long post, but I was seeing a lot of things stated that were misconstrued or not even said, and a lot of confusion in the discussion. 😊

moreover what is the problem if she ankita is like archana after all she is her grand daughter ... we always said na purvi is exactly like archana coz she is her daughter... are people not going going on face and becoming judgmental...
