What was the point of having Ovi around in two and a half scenes? If there is no scope in the script for a character, why make them hang around like a prop?
Is this character going to get any kind of closure or is she just going to be treated like set property for the rest of the duration?
If the present track does not offer her any scope, send her off to Canada! Even Teju had something to do today! I felt really sorry for Ovi in the register office, What was she even doing there? If it was to show the depth of her friendship with Onir, then shouldnt she have at least been given a dialogue or something?
Even if the focus cannot be on all the characters all the time, don't waste the ones who are not in focus this way! At least bid them a gracious goodbye!
P.S - Poor Arjun had nothing to do in that family scene either. Except carry the sherwani in that is! They might have let him off giving the excuse of a business meeting!
